Student answer (Band 5.0)
In numerous countries a myth is famous that 'anyone can do it' in the arts - music, literature, acting, and art etc. Consequently, untalented people become wealthy and talent is not appreciated.
I totally agree with this statement because now a days in numerous countries it has been proved that untalented people earn more money while talented sells talent on the road.
In Pakistan it is very easy to get rich and wealthy because the people here only follow the trend despite of clear aim. For example, people here get part in the election, the opposition elect him knowing that he will work for sake of nation, but when he gets the throne and nominated as a leader then he knows only his own life, family and friends. The government here supports only power and money instead of talent and debit him the future of nation, while the people who are talented are mostly poor and haven't enough money to take the government seat. In this way they left without having nothing.
Another issue is that the education system pushes the young unskilled graduates to the society and tell them that they can handle anything. consequently, when they perform in their fields then they face shame, while in contrate the talented people moving around the foot path which is not the right place of them.
The government is mainly responsible for these, they should support talented people and give them opportunities, moreover they should select the education sector leaders wisely so then they can provide a right direction and skills to the young people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you clearly state your agreement, the supporting argument regarding political elections in Pakistan is largely irrelevant to the topic of 'the arts'. The prompt specifically asks about music, literature, and acting, but your example focuses on government and political leadership. This shift makes the argument tangential. To improve, ensure your examples directly relate to the creative industries mentioned in the prompt. The conclusion provides a summary, but the lack of focus on the arts throughout the body paragraphs limits the depth of your response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'in contrate' (likely meaning 'in contrast') and 'in this way they left without having nothing' are awkward transitions that impede the flow of ideas. The logical progression between sentences is sometimes weak, particularly when moving from the introduction to the body paragraphs. To improve, focus on using transition words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects back to the main thesis.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'rich', 'wealthy', and 'money' multiple times. There are also several instances of incorrect word choice or collocation, such as 'debit him the future of nation' and 'nominated as a leader'. These errors occasionally make it difficult for the reader to grasp your intended meaning. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the arts and professional success, and pay closer attention to how words are combined in English.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('the opposition elect him'), incorrect preposition usage ('get part in the election'), and awkward phrasing ('they left without having nothing'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors requires the reader to work harder to interpret your points. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors would significantly improve your score.
