Student answer (Band 6.0)
Today in few nations, there is a perception that anyone can do anything when it comes to arts like music, literature, acting, etc. Consequently, individuals with no talent become wealthy and popular and so real talent is not supported at all. I strongly agree with this argument because of few distinct reasons which I shall discuss today.
In today's modern era, people have learned tricks on how to cheat with the system by finding way around it. Trickery is one way people have become famous overnight. They learn how to manipulate people's mind through distinct mind games. Then such individuals build their whole personality around this facade on social media and other online platforms where public at large sees their trickery not knowing its all fake. Such trickery is destined to be popular because its proven to be as such before in the past. For example, many famous melodies and tunes used in bollywood songs are actually copied from hollywood songs. The producers and directors fool the audience by tricking them into believing that they've produced such a gem. In this way people who really deserve the spotlight are left behind because their lives does not offer suspense and drama. They are generally very modest beings who do not prefer to show off their talent.
Another huge reason how people fake the art is confidence. we have all heard at least once in our life time that confidence is a key to success and in practical reality that is very true. If a person lies with a straight confident face you will never be able to catch his lie. Similarly, what happens is that numerous individuals know nothing about a specific kind of art that they claim to be superb at and somehow this works as well. For instance, there are many people online that you can find with a mere search who claim to be philosophers or poets and when you ask for the proofs they provide you with relevant literature but on further inquiry when you cross check their provided literature its either copied or paraphrased from other famous artists. And individuals amass huge number of followings on social spaces. On the other hand, people with real talent are often not lack to show case their talent either because of lack of confidence and lack of support from the public they want to entertain.
In conclusion, I believe faking art is easy if you know how to be confident and you master the technique of tricking public's mind.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt clearly and maintains a consistent position throughout. You have provided relevant arguments regarding the role of 'trickery' and 'confidence' in the arts. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive. While the Bollywood example is relevant, the explanation of how 'genuine talent' is specifically undervalued could be more nuanced. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and merely restates the main point without synthesising the argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph adds a new dimension to your argument rather than restating the same concept of 'faking' in different ways.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organised into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use cohesive devices such as 'consequently', 'similarly', and 'on the other hand' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing. For instance, the transition between the discussion of social media and the Bollywood example could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, but the use of pronouns like 'they' or 'this' is occasionally ambiguous, requiring the reader to re-read to identify the antecedent.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'facade', 'manipulate', and 'paraphrased'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'people have learned tricks on how to cheat with the system' (instead of 'game the system') and 'people with real talent are often not lack to show case their talent' (which is grammatically and lexically confusing). While you attempt less common vocabulary, the accuracy is inconsistent, which prevents a higher score. Focus on learning collocations rather than just individual words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'people with real talent are often not lack to show case their talent' and 'their lives does not offer' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are missing commas in complex sentences. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a lack of control over more complex structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
