Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely limits the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the body paragraphs are incomplete and lack the necessary depth, evidence, and examples required for a Task 2 essay. The second paragraph is cut off mid-sentence ('many eee'), meaning the argument is not developed. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words and provide fully formed arguments with supporting evidence for each point raised.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear logical progression due to the incomplete nature of the writing. While you attempt to use cohesive devices like 'To commence with' and 'Firstly', the lack of content makes the overall structure feel disjointed. Paragraphing is present, but the second paragraph is unfinished, which disrupts the flow of ideas. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts and using transition words more naturally to connect your arguments to your main thesis.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'some people think' and 'make a person famous'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'forthcoming fragment' (which is unnatural in this context) and 'due to advancement of social media art not appreciated' (which is grammatically incomplete). To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the arts and media, and ensure your word choices are contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('due to advancement of social media'), incorrect verb forms ('social media make a person famous'), and punctuation issues. The sentence structures are mostly simple, and the unfinished nature of the text makes it difficult to assess your ability to use complex structures effectively. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, proper use of articles, and ensuring that every sentence is complete with a clear subject and predicate.
