Student answer (Band 5.0)
Talent plays vital role to get success. In regards with, many individuals think that talent is not necessary for getting fame because everyone can do anything whatever they want. I agree upto some extent with this notion because of many reasons which will be outlined in forthcoming paragraph with logical conclusion.
To commence with, there are several reason behind this statement .Firstly, overconfidence ruins the carrier. To explain it, many people are not good to do any specific task but when they choose wrong carrier path , it badly impact the image of such person. For example - a girl named Pooja trolled badly in year 2020 for her singing , it ruins her carrier in others paths too. Secondly, people waste time or money because of choosing wrong art. To elaborate, if anyone not good in any art sometimes he or she spend alot of money in different institutions for learning any art . This leads to the wastage of time and money.
However, it has some benefits also. The great practice help the individuals to get success . This attitude increase the hard work . The one who leran more about any art , after some time they can get success. For instance, according to a data of magazine school students get 75% profit in drawing if they practice on regular bases.
In conclusion, although there are some drawbacks of the attitude as overconfidence ruined currier and waste money and time , yet the benefit of hardwork can never be overlooked at any cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is limited and somewhat superficial. While you state your position, the arguments regarding 'overconfidence' and 'wasted money' are not fully linked to the core issue of whether genuine talent is being undervalued in the arts. The example of 'Pooja' is too specific and lacks sufficient context to support your argument effectively. To improve, ensure that each paragraph directly addresses the prompt's tension between 'anyone can do it' and the devaluation of genuine talent. Your conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression is often hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical use of cohesive devices. For instance, 'In regards with' and 'To commence with' are used in a way that feels unnatural. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the idea of 'overconfidence' and the benefits of 'hard work' is abrupt. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each sentence flows logically from the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'ruins the carrier' (career), 'trolled badly', and 'regular bases' (regular basis). You rely on simple, repetitive language throughout the text. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to the arts and professional success, and pay closer attention to spelling and standard collocations. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you avoid repeating words like 'success' and 'art'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Talent plays vital role'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'if anyone not good in any art'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around punctuation marks. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often faulty. Focus on mastering basic sentence structures and proofreading for common errors like article usage and verb tense consistency to improve your accuracy.
