Student answer (Band 5.0)

o the question that put up in front of me is that can anyone do it which is now days used as a motto or an inspiration to boost confidence or self esteem well in my opinon i agree that anyone can do it but i will disagree that how they do it well lets rephrase the question can anyone do what they want to or can anyone do it weather they want to be put up to the position or not alot of people do make it what they want to become someone wanted to do there dream job or someone wanted to persue there hobby as a full time career and at some point of life they did it they are happy about it but there are many people in the world who did not wanted to be where they are but they will say anyone can do it so i will be very honest about this this i agree anyone can do it but its not that easy for everyoen or anyone whatsoever they want to in there life they have to work hard for it they have learn about it and then earn it that anyone can do it but most people who have been through this all hardship will never say or even advise to the other person that anyone can do it i am pretty sure he will say if you work hard for it you can do it i will quote myself as an example i was studying to become a doctor which my father forced me into studying that i never wanted to do but everyone taunted me that anyone can do it and i ended up failing a whole semester and droping out later. so i asked myself a question what was your dream? what did you wanted to become in your life? and then i started my journey as a bachelors of zoology and i did it i passed with good grades with my university degree and now i am planing study abroad in australia which i am also working on to get addmision there in a good university so yes anyone can do it until or unless you are willing to do it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response struggles to address the specific prompt regarding the arts. While you discuss the general concept of 'anyone can do it' in relation to career choices and personal ambition, you fail to engage with the core issue: whether this attitude devalues genuine talent in fields like music, literature, and acting. The essay is largely a personal narrative about your education rather than a balanced discussion of the prompt's premise. To improve, you must focus on the specific context provided in the task and ensure your arguments directly address the societal impact of this 'anyone can do it' mentality on the arts industry.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks paragraphing, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of your ideas. The text is presented as one long block, and there is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and arguments logically. You rely heavily on repetitive phrasing like 'anyone can do it' without using transition words to signal shifts in your argument or to connect your personal example to the broader topic. To improve, you should structure your response into clear paragraphs (introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion) and use a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast'.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently reuse the same phrases ('anyone can do it', 'do what they want') rather than exploring synonyms or more precise terminology related to the arts or professional success. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'weather' instead of 'whether', 'persue' instead of 'pursue', and 'addmision' instead of 'admission'. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more academic and topic-specific terms and focus on accurate spelling and word choice.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede readability. There is a lack of punctuation, with many run-on sentences that make it difficult to identify where one thought ends and another begins. You also struggle with verb tense consistency and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people... who did not wanted to be'). The sentence structures are mostly simple or repetitive, with very few attempts at complex grammatical structures. To improve, focus on using full stops to separate sentences, mastering basic verb tenses, and incorporating a variety of complex sentence forms.
