Student answer (Band 5.5)
in the recent years ,social media and internet have created the belief that anyone can do it in the arts.while this idea gives more people a chance,i largely agreed that it has led to a situation where talent is less valued as everyone have a access to create content and people with little or no skill can be rich and famous on social media.
on the social platform like instagram, facebook and youtube people upload many different types of content as many people make the content relvant to music, art even though they are not professionals.the alogorthim of social media promotes that content which include trending hashtags, music and comedy,as the quality of content does not matter at all, becuase of this many daily vloggers and content creaters may got more views on their music video as compare to the professional musician.
secondly, this attitude makes people think that there is no importance for geniune talent as anyone can write a book online,or release a music album from their bedroom without mastering the feild,so people with actual talent starts to think like there is no respect for original talent as spent years on mastering those skills.
however,it is also true that this open access has some benefits.many talented people get chance to upload their conent as shows thier credibility.it also gives chance to the people with people background who could never enter traditional art market before.
in conclusion, although the anyone can do it attitude makes the art more democratic, but it also devalued the genuine talent.in todays world popularity is confused with the skill ,and it makes harder to recoginize the true artists.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have identified the core tension between the 'anyone can do it' attitude and the devaluation of professional talent. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention social media algorithms, the explanation of how this specifically impacts the valuation of 'genuine talent' could be more deeply explored with concrete examples. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, but the overall argument would benefit from more nuanced supporting evidence to reach a higher band. The ideas are relevant, but the depth of analysis is consistent with a 6.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'secondly', 'however', and 'in conclusion' to signal shifts in your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. Additionally, the use of punctuation is inconsistent, which occasionally disrupts the logical progression of your ideas. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a strong topic sentence would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'democratic', 'credibility', and 'professional musician'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'alogorthim', 'creaters', 'geniune', 'recoginize') and some awkward phrasing, such as 'people with people background'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your expression. To improve, you should focus on using less common lexical items more accurately and proofreading for common spelling mistakes. Expanding your vocabulary to include more sophisticated collocations related to the arts and media would help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'everyone have a access', 'people with actual talent starts') and article usage. Punctuation is also a significant issue, with many missing spaces after commas and periods, which makes the text harder to read. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to keep the score in the 5.5 to 6.0 range. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for punctuation will significantly improve your accuracy.
