Student answer (Band 5.5)

Now a days, people believe that the different fields like art, music, literature and acting are approachable to everyone for making money without talent and the appreciation for the real talent has lost its value.

I firmly believe that becoming famous and earning alot from various fields without having any talent is just a common thing in this era.

Talking about the social media platforms through which people earn money through different reels, posts and sometimes making just fun or commenting on some others life which is not a talent, as tik tok, youtube, meta, insta are paying the people in lacs just for making dancing or some useless videos . Even most of the time, the people making these videos are not litterate and even they use the idea of some other of grab it from some AI tools.

Talking about the people who are learning differenet skills have to work hard in this era to meet or earn their living. Many of the professions like teaching, medical field and engineering or learning of some other skill through any institute, people have to pay alot. Ultimately, they face harships in finding the appropriate job according to their caliber and if they find so, the income is much less as compared to other platfoms.

Summing up all these, we can clearly say that people opt for the ways of earning where they can earn alot without gaining some skill or talent because the one with talent don't get the spotlight and are even failed to admire this generation ,as in this fast generation , society is eager for short and fast money earning tracks.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that talent is undervalued in the modern era. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide examples of social media influencers, the argument could be strengthened by contrasting this with specific examples of 'genuine talent' in the arts to provide a more balanced or nuanced discussion. The essay tends to over-generalize about the nature of modern success, and the link between the 'anyone can do it' attitude and the specific examples provided could be more explicitly articulated to fully satisfy the requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is occasionally disjointed. The transition between the discussion of social media and the comparison with traditional professions like medicine is abrupt. While you use some cohesive devices such as 'Talking about' and 'Summing up', these are somewhat repetitive and mechanical. The referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the sentence structure becomes convoluted, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'earning alot' and 'making just fun'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'litterate' (literate) and 'grab it from some AI tools'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the range is limited, and the expression of ideas is often simplistic. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring that words are used in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the one with talent don't get'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'are even failed to admire this generation'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for common errors would be highly beneficial.
