Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many countries we commonly see that everyone can become successful in the field of arts including music, literature, acting, art, etc. While this is good that everyone gets the opportunity to showcase their work. I believe that this might have some negative affects as well. Sometimes people with great talent get pushed back while people with less or no talent are showcased as super heroes.
In my opinion, social media is the main reason here. Trends have taken away the importance of real art. Everyone claims to be the best and because of that the real talent and real artists are being faded away. Nowadays, people get popular and famous just by making entertaining or popular content. Whereas the real artists despite making a lot of effort and putting in so much of their time does not get the attention that they deserve. For example a person making just a funny or even a vulgar content gets famous or rich and is labelled as an artist even though he might not even have basic artistic skills. On the other hand a real content creator who is working hard to create useful and meaningful content is listed as just one of the thousands people on the internet.
However it is difficult to label "The real Artist", because art is very subjective, everyone has their own definition of art. Anything that look ordinary to one might feel very artistic to another. For example a pop song might feel life to a young person, where as to an old person it might be just a headache.
So, I think being famous and rich is not related to being talented or artistic, getting rich because of your talent is just pure luck. For example many of the artist that are famous now for their paintings were not rich or famous in their time, they were hardly known by anyone. Social media has given everyone a chance to express themselves , which is positive but on the same side society should also promote real talent and hardworking individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all parts of the prompt and maintained a clear position throughout. You acknowledge the accessibility of the arts while arguing that social media has devalued genuine talent. Your ideas are relevant, though some points, such as the comparison between pop songs and classical art, could be more deeply explored to strengthen your argument. You provide examples like the contrast between 'funny content' and 'meaningful content' to support your stance. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are consistently linked back to the core issue of whether 'anyone can do it' and the resulting impact on the valuation of talent.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'However', 'On the other hand', and 'For example' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the paragraphing could be more refined. For instance, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is a bit abrupt. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'subjective', 'artistic skills', and 'meaningful content'. There are some minor errors in word choice, such as 'negative affects' (should be 'effects') and 'faded away' (should be 'fading away'). You rely on some repetitive phrasing, such as 'famous and rich' or 'real talent'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and less common vocabulary related to the arts and media to demonstrate a more sophisticated lexical range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical slips, such as 'many of the artist that are famous' (should be 'artists') and 'where as to an old person it might be just a headache' (missing a verb or better phrasing). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are occasional errors in sentence boundaries. To achieve a higher score, focus on reducing these minor errors and increasing the variety of complex grammatical structures, such as using more conditional or passive constructions.
