Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argued that some countries today, there is an that anyone can do it in the arts music, literature, acting, art. As a result, people with no talent become rich and famous and genuine talent is not valued or appreciated.

The first reason is that people have no time for skill improve. Because people are so busy with work and other things. People go to work early in the morning and late night free. As a result people didn't time for skill coaching time. Further more, free time people use social media. Because people watch YouTube videos, stress busters videos. As a result people are waste her time on screen.

On the other hand, life is so busy and stress full. Because financial problems, family problems and others. As a result, people don't have time our skill.

Due to, parents give mobile to children. Because parents are so busy in work and others things. So children cry. Parents gave mobile phone. Children play video games and watch cartoon on You tube and use social media. Children use mobile phone every time. They don't focus on skill or goal. And children are not famous or rich. But some people use to Mobile for improve to skill watching literature, acting, and art. As a result, people have good knowledge for our skill and goal.

In conclusion, I disagree this statement, because many people are rich and famous rather then old time. Old people have good knowledge but he didn't famous. But today people use to social media and make new content and make video.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the topic but fails to develop a clear, consistent argument. While you mention that you disagree with the statement, the supporting points are largely irrelevant to the core issue of whether 'anyone can do it' in the arts. Instead of discussing artistic merit or the devaluation of talent, the essay focuses on general time management, social media usage, and parenting. The ideas are under-developed and do not directly answer the prompt's central question regarding the quality of modern art or the recognition of genuine talent. To improve, ensure every paragraph directly supports your thesis statement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between ideas is often mechanical, relying heavily on repetitive phrases like 'As a result' and 'Because'. Some sentences are disconnected, making it difficult to follow your line of reasoning. For example, the shift from discussing adult time management to children's use of mobile phones lacks a clear thematic link. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices, they are often used incorrectly or in a way that obscures the relationship between sentences. Better use of linking words and clearer topic sentences would improve the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'people', 'time', 'work', and 'skill'. There is little attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary related to the arts (e.g., 'artistic integrity', 'commercialization', 'cultural standards'). Furthermore, there are several word-choice errors, such as 'skill coaching time' and 'stress busters videos', which sound unnatural. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations that demonstrate a wider range of expression beyond simple, everyday language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammatical range is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. There are frequent errors in sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and article usage (e.g., 'people didn't time for skill', 'people are waste her time', 'I disagree this statement'). Many sentences are fragmented or lack necessary components, which occasionally impedes clarity. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of basic errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction, correct verb tenses, and avoiding run-on or fragmented sentences will significantly improve your score.
