Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years some of the countries today , there ia an attitude that anyone can be an artist .music, literature, acting etc.. ,As a result genuine talent is not appreciated and the people with no talent become rich and famous , I partly agree with that statement.

Most of the young people are using different social media applications to make content and earn money weather they are educated or not ,they have talent or not they just know that if they keep doing stupid stuff and as long as public kept watching they are in the race of becoming famous .For instance there a tiktok in pakistan ali hadrabadi he just walk weridly that guy have no talent he just walk and put some music on the background and he famous and rich now he have 21.7M followers. Sameas thera are alot more people are out there who are not even educated but famous ...the question is who made them famous and rich?

We made them famous if we stop wasting our time on these people and kee motivating the real talent then it would be the best chance for them to come forward and show-case there talent to the world for instance U-Khan and irfan junejo they are really amazing, then there is girl making resin art , we as a nation need to support these kind of genuine talent who are sophisticated and educated and aslo the bright future of our nation .

I farmly agree that we as viwer not appreciating the real talent but wasting our time on others who are less talented ,less important and not even educated .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, although the development of ideas is somewhat limited. You identify the issue of social media fame versus genuine talent, which is relevant. However, the argument relies heavily on personal anecdotes (e.g., the TikTok example) rather than a broader analysis of the arts. The conclusion is slightly contradictory, as you state you 'partly agree' in the introduction but 'firmly agree' in the final paragraph. To improve, ensure your position remains consistent throughout and expand your reasoning to cover the 'arts' more broadly, rather than focusing exclusively on social media influencers.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt. There is also a lack of variety in linking words; you rely heavily on 'for instance' and 'then'. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that the logical flow between sentences is smoother and less repetitive.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You use some informal language, such as 'stupid stuff' and 'a lot more', which is not ideal for an academic essay. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'weather' (instead of 'whether'), 'weridly' (weirdly), 'aslo' (also), and 'viwer' (viewer). To improve, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary related to the arts and society, and proofread carefully to eliminate basic spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include run-on sentences, incorrect punctuation (e.g., excessive use of commas and periods), and subject-verb agreement errors, such as 'that guy have no talent' and 'there a tiktok'. You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, with few attempts at complex grammar. To improve, work on sentence boundaries, ensure correct verb forms, and try to incorporate more complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, while maintaining accuracy.
