Student answer (Band 6.5)
notion that anyone can try their hand in creative pursuits disgaree with this idea bcz it's not everyone cup some people are born with the talent of creativity hence they are more creative learn things through brain you have to have genuine talent gifted rather than who become famous have genuine talent real talent is valued. hard to stand out in this competitive world.
In many nations, it is a general misconception that creative pursuits such as arts, theatre and music is something where everyone can try their luck and can eventually become famous. I strongly disagree with this viewpoint because learning creative pursuits requires strong determination and consistent efforts and some individuals are gifted with these traits. Genuine passion for creativity is still valued in our society.
Learning about music, art and drama is not as effortless as it may often appears from the outside. In order to gain mastery in these skills one must have to dedicate religiously years of practice, consistent efforts and perseverance. Individuals who do not have genuine and real passion for these fields can eventually give up in the end. For instance, world-renowned artists and singers often talk about their struggles and hardship before actually becoming famous. Therefore, acquiring these creative skills may requires years of dedication and persistent hard work.
Another main consideration in tis scenario is that some people are naturally gifted with these traits or cognitive abilities. Additionally, working on these gifted traits may help to become the best version of themselves. For instance, famous Indian actress Prianka Chopra Jonas is naturally gifted with her extraordinary acting skills however that doesn't mean she doesn't face any hardships in her acting career, recognising these skills at early stage with dedication and confidence help her to achieve global recognition.
In conclusion, engaging in creative fields such as music, arts and theatre does require dedication and unwavering passion. Nevertheless, few individuals are gifted with these natural traits, I however, believe that genuine talent doesn't get overlooked and still valued in our society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You successfully argue that genuine talent and hard work are essential, refuting the 'anyone can do it' attitude. The ideas are relevant and supported by examples, such as the reference to Priyanka Chopra Jonas. However, the initial paragraph is somewhat disjointed and repetitive, acting more like a draft than a formal introduction. To improve, ensure that your introduction is a cohesive paragraph that clearly outlines your stance without including fragmented notes. The development of ideas is generally good, but could be more nuanced to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use cohesive devices such as 'For instance,' 'Additionally,' and 'Nevertheless' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by minor mechanical issues and some awkward phrasing. The opening section is particularly problematic as it lacks the structure of a proper paragraph, which disrupts the initial progression of the argument. Improving the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph would enhance the overall coherence of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'creative pursuits,' 'misconception,' 'perseverance,' and 'cognitive abilities.' There are some instances of slightly unnatural collocation, such as 'dedicate religiously years of practice' (should be 'dedicate years of practice to') and 'try their luck' (which is acceptable but informal). While you attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary, some errors in word choice persist. To improve, focus on refining collocations and ensuring that less common vocabulary is used with greater precision to avoid minor inaccuracies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'may often appears' (should be 'may often appear') and 'may requires' (should be 'may require'). Additionally, there are punctuation and subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'creative pursuits... is something' (should be 'are something'). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct usage of modal verbs followed by the base form of the verb.
