Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary times, it is often an approach in many countries, that arts as a field of study or profession, does not demand extraordinary ability rather any person can do it jus well, an assumption that is making under-talented people become rich and popular while real talent remains unacknowledged. I personally consider it true and opine that such kind of assumptions in Arts, make undeserving people obtain wealth and vogue, while the deserving stay without any favour returned to them for their abilities.
To begin with, Arts like any other field of study or profession require actual and appropriate talent. It is often discussed that not everyone that can secure an opportunity in Arts can be regarded as truly the deserving of it as well. For example, a lot of young tiktokers have become actors nowadays in a number of stage and theatre performances while the real students of acting schools remain jobless in the industry. An actor named as Jannat Mirza, who is a tiktoker, is not considered a good actor but still, she is one of the richest actors nowadays.
Similarly, in a recent advertisement shared by the Oriental College, some actors were called for walk-in interviews for stage roles. Their criteria indicated zero to none prerequisites for the positions, as a result of which, only those who had the leverage of recommendation could get the opportunity while the talented applicants were rendered disappointed.
I personally opine, Arts should also be considered a field deserving to have deserving participants like other fields of profession so that genuine talent does not go unrewarded.
Conclusively, in a number of countries, Arts is considered an area of profession or study for anyone wanting to join in, which leads to the suppression of real talent in the field of Arts. Such a mismanagement can be handled by a reconsideration of Arts as a field that requires some joining prerequisites.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position and supporting it with arguments and examples. You successfully state your agreement with the premise that an 'anyone can do it' attitude leads to under-talented individuals gaining wealth and fame while genuine talent is overlooked. Ideas are extended throughout the body paragraphs, although some examples, such as the specific mention of the tiktoker Jannat Mirza or the college advertisement, feel slightly anecdotal and narrow in scope. Nevertheless, your main position remains consistent throughout the essay. To reach a higher band, ensure that your examples have broader global applicability or are developed with deeper analytical insight rather than relying on hyper-local or personal references.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a clear overall progression with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points. Cohesive devices are employed to connect ideas, such as 'To begin with', 'Similarly', and 'Conclusively'. However, some of the referencing and transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive, particularly in how sentences are linked together. For instance, the transition into the third paragraph relies heavily on a repetitive phrasing structure. Furthermore, some sentences are overly convoluted, which occasionally obscures the logical flow between propositions. Overall, the organization is coherent, but smoother and more flexible cohesive ties would enhance the reading experience.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'contemporary times', 'under-talented', 'unacknowledged', and 'prerequisites'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text. For instance, writing 'an approach in many countries, that arts as a field... does not demand extraordinary ability rather any person can do it jus well' contains spelling errors ('jus') and awkward phrasing. Similarly, phrases like 'obtaining wealth and vogue' and 'without any favour returned to them' sound unnatural. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, these recurring lexical slips and minor spelling issues prevent you from achieving a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt at ambitious grammatical structures. You successfully use relative clauses and conditional-like ideas. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation awkwardnesses that disrupt the flow. For example, clauses are often incorrectly punctuated with commas, as seen in 'In the contemporary times, it is often an approach in many countries, that arts...'. Additionally, sentences like 'not everyone that can secure an opportunity in Arts can be regarded as truly the deserving of it as well' contain awkward prepositions and word order. Although these errors rarely impede overall communication, their frequency prevents the essay from reaching a Band 7.
