Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries nowadays there is a concept of "any one can do it" in art, music, lierature and so on and people with no talent become famous and rich and geniune talent is not appreciated.

In my prospective people with no talent in art or music including literature become famous instead of real talent the reason is that they took step and practice about that. Many individuals who dont know about art but become master by practicing.

On the one hand people having real talent become famous but when a common person also practice for that and improve herself may become better instead of a real talent. All is about practice the world only apprecitiates those who give better feedback. When a person who is already famous singing a song infront of many peoples and a person motivated and practicing consistently become more better.

On the other hand person who like to work on acting and trying to become famous they train themselfs day and night. and on the other hand a person who is already famous in acting may be cant do the acting like the person who train herself.

Moreover its all about how the person practice to achieve their goal. the geniun talent is not unvalued commonly due to the reason is that may be the other person doing well instead of a real talent.

In conclusion the practice is the thing who took a person from lower to higher achievments. I disagree those who thaught that real talent is waste without any reason. In every achievment their is always hardwork.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear, albeit simply expressed, position that hard work and practice can enable anyone to succeed in the arts, thus disagreeing with the idea that genuine talent is solely valued. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive, relying heavily on the single concept of practice without introducing broader examples or deep exploration. While the writer attempts to support their position, the arguments remain somewhat under-developed and general. The response meets all basic requirements, earning a Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The text is organized into paragraphs, including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some overall structural awareness. However, the progression of ideas is frequently hindered by awkward transitions and mechanical or repetitive cohesive devices (such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand' used confusingly twice in succession). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the internal flow of sentences within paragraphs is disjointed. Paragraphing is attempted, but the logical links between sentences are weak, matching the descriptors for Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text (e.g., 'lierature', 'geniune', 'prospective' instead of perspective, 'unvalued' instead of undervalued, 'thaught'). The student attempts some less common terms like 'consistently' and 'achievements', but the lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. Errors such as 'train themselfs' and 'dont know about art' impede clarity in places, placing this response firmly at Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer uses a mix of simple and emerging complex sentence structures, but many attempts at complex sentences are faulty or ungrammatical (e.g., 'In conclusion the practice is the thing who took a person from lower to higher achievments' and 'a person who is already famous in acting may be cant do the acting'). There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation that cause difficulty for the reader and distort meaning in several places. This corresponds to a Band 5.0 grammatical performance.
