You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent era, it is always seen that in the several regions of the world individuals portray that they are best in fine arts and it's different branches like music, literature, acting and artistry. Thus the actual talented people remain behind the scene unvalued and un appreciated while other earn money and fame more. I firmly believe that, people with original talent should be more praised and get fame and money rather than fake ones.

To begin with, globally there are so many people who are doing great in their own fields of fine arts. They are even professionally aware and educated in this regard. But they are not valued as they should have due to the current trends of new generation's mind set which is that no worries if we are not so skillful but will continue. Moreover, As a result of this various talented individuals can not maintain their financial situation successfully even they deserve. I have seen a lot of professionals with brilliant experiences sit idol in corporate settings, their degrees and certificates giving them no benefits because their place occupied by not experienced people.

Furthermore, People who practice either by the help of internet tutorial videos and through social media trials somehow. Such people's common practice seem to watch any thing first and think that they are now a legend and start right away different channels to provide wrong information about the talent like music, paintings, embroidery, acting, singing and dance etcetera. If they learn all the process in a proper way by any professional master, they definitely become a real potential candidates to showcase their talent. For instance, a street dancer or a actor earns more in comparison to a degree holder by an authentic professional institute in a theatre of performing arts.

To conclude, I genuinely believe that the world should give the respect and appreciate the real talented people rather than who are not actually.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by clearly taking a side and agreeing that genuine talent should be valued over undeserved fame and wealth. The student attempts to develop ideas across the body paragraphs, noting that modern trends and internet culture often bypass proper professional training. However, the development remains somewhat repetitive and general, falling short of the fully extended ideas expected at higher bands. For instance, the discussion on internet tutorials and social media trials in the third paragraph touches upon a relevant point but lacks precise real-world examples or deeper elaboration. The position is clear throughout, but the overall depth of argumentation aligns best with the Band 6 descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an overall logical arrangement. Paragraphing is attempted, though the transitions between ideas can be abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, but sometimes inaccurately or mechanically, such as starting sentences with phrases like 'Moreover, As a result of this' or 'Furthermore, People who practice either by the help of'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, which creates minor disruptions in the flow of reading. While there is a clear overarching message, the mechanics of cohesion require better control, placing this response firmly in the Band 5 to 6 range.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts to use a varied vocabulary related to the arts and professional life, including terms like 'fine arts', 'professionally aware', and 'authentic professional institute'. However, there are frequent inappropriate word choices and collocations, such as 'In recent era', 'un appreciated', 'sit idol', and 'real potential candidates'. These lexical inaccuracies, alongside occasional spelling and word-formation errors, mean that communication is sometimes strained. The vocabulary range is adequate for the task, but lacks the precision and natural control required for a Band 7.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense inconsistencies, missing prepositions, and awkward clause structures, such as 'people with original talent should be more praised and get fame and money rather than fake ones' and 'a street dancer or a actor earns more'. Punctuation and article usage also show persistent flaws. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they occur with enough frequency to impede smooth reading and restrict the score to Band 5.
