Student answer (Band 5.5)

I truly agree that in several regions around the globe, nowadays there is competition among individuals that they can conquer it in, wheather its music, art, literature , acting etc. However, some people become wealthy with any talent, in contrast, the talented and deserving are not valued, and appreciated. Lack of confidence, less utilization of social-media and not auditioning are the main factors of failure among talented people.

It become extremely usuall these days that, individuals without goals and purpose earning fame and money both effortlessly. Early adoption of social media is the main reason, for instance, posting any sort of content on internet related to dance, singing, or activing gain millions of views which later turns into wealth and popularity among society. Moreover, sharing images with politicial, influencers and actors, which also illustrates there personality among society as an celebrity.

On the other hand, lack of confidence, and social anxiety are the purpose of failure of talented peoples, which hide there hardworking and talent from societies. Hence, this also lead them to financial crisis. Furthmore, in this modern era, there are possible way of accomplishing popularity and generating money by representing talent even entirely hiding there identity, for instance, applying face masks and wearing costume on sites where they feel uncomfortable.

In conclusion, both attitude of anyone can do it and real talents are not valued both crucial to argue. However, from my perspective, i believe that, one having zero talent and geniusness is outcoming greatly through socially and financially, Meanwhile, talent is beging waste behind the walls just because of social fear and anxiety.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the issue: the ease with which untalented individuals gain fame and the struggles of genuine, talented people held back by anxiety. The student takes a clear position in the introduction and conclusion. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed and tangled with peripheral points, such as mentioning the lack of social media utilization and failing to audition in the first paragraph, which shifts the focus away from the main prompt. Despite these minor digressions, the main arguments are identifiable and relevant, satisfying the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into distinct paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing different angles, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'Hence', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or imprecise. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs occasionally falters because ideas are bundled together rather than smoothly progressed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the pronoun use in 'illustrates there personality among society as an celebrity'. Overall progression is present, placing this firmly in the Band 6 category.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student displays an adequate vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'popularly', 'financial crisis', and 'accomplishing popularity'. However, there are frequent word-choice and spelling errors that detract from precision, such as 'wheather' instead of 'whether', 'usuall' instead of 'usual', 'activing' instead of 'acting', 'politicial' instead of 'politicians', and 'geniusness' instead of 'genius'. While these errors do not severely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as missing subject-verb agreement ('It become extremely usuall', 'there personality'), incorrect prepositions, and persistent spelling and punctuation issues. Pronoun confusion ('there' instead of 'their' or 'they') also appears regularly. While the meaning is generally decipherable, the high frequency of errors places this response at Band 5.0.
