Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent times, people believe that anyone can succeed in creative field such as music, art, litrature and acting, and true talent is no longer valued. I disagree with the statement beacuse in my opinion only people with real talent can achieve long lasting sucess.
First, modern platforms such as instagram and tiktok make it very essy for anyone to share contentand go viral in few minutes.People become celebrity by doing just silly dance or simply following trends, rather than showing the real artistic ability. because these platforms care more about views and shock value than quality, many people earn large amounts without possesing any real creative skills.
At the same time , this culture harms genuine artists who sped years mastering their crafts. musicians, painters and writers oftern struggle to earn decent amount because algorhythms favor fast. as a result people rarely take time to support and appreciate truly gifted individuals, but people with real talent might get success late but it last long for decades.Such as A.R Rehman , Arijit singh and other artist who might face little struggle in the starting of their carriers but Ai and this kind of platform couldn't replace them at all and they are still doing great and successfull in their music world.
Firthermore, audiences and industries to place immense value on exceptional ability and dedication. Peolple are willing to spend significant amount and time to appreciate content. For instance Amitabh bacchan who won prestigious national and global awards through their carrier and extraordinary skills. This proves that real talent and skills is still respected and rewarded in society.
To conclude, I disagree with the view that genuine talent is no longer appreciated. Although digital platforms allow ordinary talent to gain views and fame but admiration is still belong to a authentic skill.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position throughout the essay. The writer disagrees with the notion that genuine talent is no longer valued, supporting this stance with ideas related to modern social media trends, long-term artistic success, and examples like A.R. Rahman and Amitabh Bachchan. While some ideas are slightly generalized or under-developed—such as the brief mention of algorithms favoring fast content—the overall argument is coherent and relevant to the prompt. The student maintains a consistent viewpoint from the introduction to the conclusion, ensuring that the main thesis is clearly communicated to the reader.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, such as the discussion of viral platforms versus genuine long-term talent. Cohesive devices are employed, including transition markers like 'First', 'At the same time', and 'To conclude'. However, some referencing and logical transitions between sentences are occasionally mechanical or slightly faulty, such as in the phrasing 'but people with real talent might get success late but it last long for decades.' Overall, the organizational structure is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'possessing', 'prestigious', and 'extraordinary skills'. However, there are numerous spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'litrature' instead of 'literature', 'beacuse', 'essy', 'celebrity' instead of 'celebrities', 'oftern', 'algorhythms', 'carriers' instead of 'careers', and 'bacchan'. Despite these noticeable inaccuracies in spelling and occasional awkward collocations, the vocabulary is minimally adequate and meaning is generally clear, preventing these errors from severely impeding communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing structures like conditional and concessive clauses (e.g., 'Although digital platforms allow ordinary talent to gain views...'). However, grammatical control is inconsistent, with frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization, subject-verb agreement, and article usage. Examples include 'creative field' instead of 'creative fields', 'go viral in few minutes', 'people earn large amounts without possessing', and 'admiration is still belong to a authentic skill'. These errors persist throughout the response, though they rarely impede the overall communication of the writer's arguments.
