Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position of agreement regarding the statement about talent and fame. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times confusing. For instance, the argument attempts to discuss how individuals use social media to showcase skills without hesitation, but the points remain superficial and lack detailed supporting examples. The reference to females working at home in art and music is somewhat unclear and under-developed. While all parts of the prompt are touched upon, the ideas lack the extension and depth required for higher bands, placing this performance firmly in the Band 5 category.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an attempt at organisation. However, the overall progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by poor transitions and mechanical cohesive devices. Words like 'As its consequence', 'Moreover', and 'This one is the main' are used awkwardly. Referencing is often unclear, such as in the sentence 'With they money and got rich and also favourite with the others peoples', which obscures the logical link between ideas. Due to these repetitive and inadequate cohesive features, the response achieves a Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and formation that occasionally hinder comprehension. Examples include phrases like 'anyone make an art', 'intelligent person is not and appreciated', and 'bask them to boost up your skills'. The writer attempts to use less common words such as 'generation' or 'community' contextually, but inaccuracies in collocation and spelling (e.g., 'indiviuals', 'intract', 'hasitation', 'strick') are noticeable throughout. This level of lexical control corresponds to a Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is weak, with a very limited range of structures successfully produced. The text contains frequent errors in basic sentence construction, verb forms, articles, and prepositions. Examples of faulty structures include 'in many countries have an attitude that anyone make an art' and 'peoples views all the other skills'. Complex sentences are frequently attempted but are almost always ungrammatical or obscure in meaning. Errors are present in almost every sentence and frequently cause difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 4 descriptors.
