Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the present days, many people are getting involved in the arts considering that the art can be done by anyone. Consequently, these ordinary people become more dominant and real artist lacked behind. I strongly concur this and wil support this by following examples.
First of all, the freedom to join any type of art category is responsible for hiding the identity of original art related experts. Today, a person who gets fail in one type of art, join the other option to gain populaity. For example, if a drama actor, who was not good at acting, and could not compete with other competitors, he will possibly start singing. And, while singing he may use different sound improving softwares. This results in disliking of people owing original voice and increased fammilarity of tricky people.
In addition, the advancement of social platforms is playing a pivotal role in diminishing the real people being resonsibe for a particular art. Hence, various mobile online applications are being used by fake artist such as Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube. This can be illustrated by a person named Rahat Fateh Khan, a well known Asian singer. Different users of these apps mimic the song originally sung by Rahat and try to get popular.
Both of these factor play an important role in lowering the economical position of a real artist. Because due to decreased number of followers, they will earn less. While other people will have more followers and fans, hence their earnings will also be raised.
In conlcusion, due to free intermixing of people in different arts without any strict rules, the people being real expert of specific field remain behnid to those fake artist.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses the prompt by clearly stating their position in the introduction ('I strongly concur this') and attempting to support it with reasons and examples. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies heavily on generalisations rather than fully articulated arguments. For instance, the example provided about a drama actor starting to sing lacks depth and specificity. Furthermore, the mention of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as an example of people mimicking others on social media apps is slightly confused, as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is an established professional singer rather than an amateur social media mimic. Despite these conceptual flaws, all parts of the task are addressed, and a clear stance is maintained throughout the response, fitting the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed to signal logical transitions, such as 'First of all', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion'. However, some of the cohesive referencing and sentence-to-sentence links feel somewhat mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Because due to decreased number of followers'. Paragraphing is generally appropriate, though some body paragraphs are brief and underdeveloped. Overall, the logical progression is clear enough to follow without difficulty, aligning well with the requirements for a Band 6 score.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully attempting less common items and topic-specific terms such as 'advancement of social platforms', 'pivotal role', and 'economical position'. However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'lacked behind' instead of 'lagged behind', 'populaity' instead of 'popularity', 'fammilarity' instead of 'familiarity', and 'resonsibe' instead of 'responsible'. Word choice is sometimes unnatural, such as 'sound improving softwares'. While these errors do not impede overall communication, they prevent the lexical score from reaching the higher bands, placing it firmly at Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over sentence structures. Examples include conditional structures like 'if a drama actor, who was not good at acting... he will possibly start singing'. Nevertheless, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'In the present days', 'art can be done by anyone', 'a person who gets fail', and 'Both of these factor play'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, and while grammatical errors are frequent, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the core message, which is characteristic of the Band 5.5 descriptor level.
