Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is undeniable that different people have different opinions. In this regard, nowadays, in some countries, there an attitude that 'anyone can do it' in the arts - music, literature, acting, art, etc. As a result, people with no talent become rich and famous and genuine talent is not valued or appreciated. I agree upto large extent with this due to some reasons which will be outlined in the upcoming fragments with a logical conclusion.
To commence with, there are some reasons due to which people can do anything in the arts like music and literature etc. The first and foremost reason is that people are persuated by their relatives and friends to do some activities. To clarify it more, arts is also good stream to become a Police, Army and Pilot. But , students can do other activities also in free time. As a result, people can make their name and fame without any talent. For example, in India people are becoming famous without any talent by posting irrelevent reels and pictures on social apps like Instagram, Facebook etc. People without investing money on good cameras, they are becoming rich because they are earning good money from apps.
Moving to its some drawbacks. The prime one reason is that nowadays, it is trend people with talent are becoming low because they cannot show their skills due to untalented people. As a result, level of confidence, value of talented people becoming low day by day.
In conclusion, although there are some benefits of this notion. Yet, drawbacks cannot be overlooked such as low level of confidence, low income etc at any cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response only minimally addresses the task, focusing heavily on tangential points rather than the core prompt regarding the perceived lack of value for genuine talent in the arts. Furthermore, the length requirement has not been met, as the student's response contains 237 words, which is 13 words short of the 250-word minimum (note that 34 words copied from the task prompt were excluded from this count). The position is stated vaguely in the introduction (‘I agree upto large extent’), but the supporting ideas remain severely limited and under-developed, veering off into unrelated discussions about job streams like the police and army, or social media reels in India, rather than fully exploring the societal attitude towards artistic talent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation attempted, with paragraphing used to separate the introduction, body points, and conclusion, but the overall progression lacks clarity and logical flow. Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive, such as the mechanical transitions ‘To commence with’, ‘To clarify it more’, and ‘Moving to its some drawbacks’. Paragraph structures are abrupt, and referencing is often unclear, meaning the reader has to work hard to follow the writer's line of reasoning. The conclusion is overly brief and fails to effectively summarise the main arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as ‘persuaded’ (spelled ‘persuated’) and ‘irrerelevant’, but frequent word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors impede precise communication. For instance, phrases like ‘upcoming fragments’ instead of paragraphs, ‘good stream to become a Police’, and ‘level of confidence... becoming low’ demonstrate a restricted lexical range and a lack of awareness regarding appropriate collocations in an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences, while attempts at complex sentence forms are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar, articles, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement that can cause difficulty for the reader, such as ‘there an attitude’, ‘agree upto large extent’, ‘people without investing money on good cameras, they are becoming rich’, and ‘it is trend people with talent are becoming low’. Punctuation is also mishandled in places, such as unnecessary spaces before commas and broken clause structures, reflecting poor control over sentence mechanics.
