IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In some countries today, there is an attitude that 'anyone can do it' in the arts - music, literature, acting, art, etc. As a result, people with no talent become rich and famous and genuine talent is not valued or appreciated.
Do you agree or disagree?
You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Yes I do agree with it , there are many reasons that im with it because music , art and film industrirs do have nepotism.
Fim Industry has many flaws you may have the talent for acting , singing , and dancing too but they would prefer an actor who has some lineage theres a saying 'Kings son becomes the next King ' similar to this but some talented ones make their own place they try the besy and become so successful I wont state any names though .
In contrast , Music industry is for pure talent if you are good you can do well . Its not like film industry you need that skill to play diffent minf of musics or maybe sing too . Without these skills you cant make a place in Music , people will not listen your music . There will be no support from fans .
Morever , when moving towards Art it requires so much of dedication and time music does too . To be a good artist you should have precision , a good patience level paintings may too check your patience . But artist are not recognized as much as they should , they need lots of support .
Because of all the stated reasons above , we can surely say that people with no talent for it may become famous and rich , the real talent which needs to be recognised does not get anything . Public is a bit bad with recognition , mostly they just support and see blindly they dont see the efforts that have put by the talented artist out there .
This is my opinion on this . I Agree with it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task only partially. Your position is stated at the beginning and reaffirmed at the end, but the development of your ideas is limited and under-developed. For instance, when you mention that the film industry features nepotism and give the analogy of 'Kings son becomes the next King,' you do not fully extend this argument with concrete examples, stating instead 'I wont state any names though.' Similarly, your discussion of the music and art industries relies on sweeping generalizations rather than well-supported evidence. To move to a higher level, you need to ensure that all parts of your position are supported with extended explanations, detailed examples, and a fully developed line of reasoning throughout the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organization to your writing, with separate paragraphs for different industries like film, music, and art, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and sometimes inaccurately, such as 'In contrast' which does not logically set up a direct contrast between the film and music industries in the way you intended, or 'Morever' which has a spelling error and is used repetitively. Paragraphing is attempted, but the grouping of ideas within paragraphs feels disjointed. To achieve a higher level, you must ensure that your ideas flow logically from one sentence to the next using a wider range of appropriate cohesive ties, and maintain a clear, progressive structure from introduction to conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate for the task. You attempt some less common vocabulary related to the prompt, such as 'nepotism' and 'lineage', but there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that cause some difficulty for the reader. For example, 'industrirs' is misspelled, 'besy' is used instead of 'best', 'minf of musics' contains unnatural phrasing and collocation, and 'artist' is used as a singular noun where the plural 'artists' is required ('artist are not recognized'). To improve your lexical score, you need to expand your range of vocabulary, pay closer attention to word forms and collocations, and carefully check your spelling before finishing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your writing demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences and basic coordination. Your attempts at complex sentences are often faulty, leading to frequent errors in punctuation, run-on sentences, and comma splices, such as in your opening sentence where multiple clauses are joined incorrectly with commas. There are also errors in subject-verb agreement and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'people will not listen your music' missing the preposition 'to', and 'efforts that have put by' which lacks passive voice elements. To reach a higher level, you need to use a wider mix of complex sentence forms with good control over punctuation and grammar so that your sentences remain clear and accurate.
