Student answer (Band 5.5)
In these days, many people from different countries believe that every one can become who they want, no matter if they lack of required skills. As a result, many people become wealty or famous without having particular qualification related to such fields. I strongly disagree with such attitude, from my perspective, people should only encourage and appreciate ones who deserve to be a famous icon in society.
On of the distinct reason for my stance is being popular in society should come with several qualifications. A person should have at least some values related to particular skill in order to be well konwn individual. For example, in many places , people often encourage their children to become an actor as members of society see such people as very respected icon and being an actor may come with a lot of income which may lead to more sustainable future, however their children may lack of qualifications related to such job like acting skills, ability to deal with many diffrenet people, and other standards. Consequently, such idea of their parents may lead to several issues including regret about their career, lose of self confident , and diminishe their desicion making ability.
Another problem may arise from this attitude is the way it affects the reputation of particular country or city. Countries with many famous icons who are not qualified, often experience disrespect and rude behaviours from other counties. For example, my country faced such experiences alongside with racism. Hence , such ill- manered famous people may bring disfortune for their nations and even their families.
In conclusion, I believe it could be so disadvantegous to focus on being popular only rather than motivating yourself to obtain qualifications which is needed for being famous in a positive way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position against the idea that anyone can succeed in the arts without talent. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the argument regarding children pursuing acting lacks deeper support, and the point about national reputation is touched upon briefly rather than fully explored. The writer presents a relevant stance and covers parts of the task, but to move further, ideas need to be extended with more detailed explanations and fully elaborated examples that directly address the cultural and societal impacts mentioned in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing that separates the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. There is a logical flow of ideas, moving from individual career consequences to broader societal impacts. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'On of the distinct reason', 'For example', and 'In conclusion', though referencing and transitions can occasionally feel a bit mechanical or faulty, as seen in minor awkwardness in linking sentences. To achieve a higher level, the progression between ideas could be managed more smoothly, and cohesive devices used with greater flexibility and precision.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate to communicate the basic meaning, but the range is limited and contains noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling. Examples include 'wealty' instead of wealthy, 'konwn' instead of known, 'diffrenet' instead of different, and 'disfortune' instead of misfortune. While the writer attempts less common vocabulary, inaccuracies such as 'ill-mannered famous people' or 'lose of self confident' indicate a restricted control over lexical items. Addressing these issues by refining word forms, improving spelling accuracy, and utilizing more precise phrasing will significantly enhance this area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, reflecting an adequate control of sentence structures. However, there are frequent errors in grammar, articles, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement that can cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'every one can become who they want', 'lack of required skills', and 'On of the distinct reason'. Attempts at complex structures often contain minor faults. To improve, the writer needs to increase the proportion of error-free sentences by paying closer attention to articles, singular/plural agreement, and preposition usage within grammatical patterns.
