Student answer (Band 4.5)
talent is defined as the the perons having excellence grip on the any kind of skill or having the natural compatibillity with and lesser amount of work is done to rise in that field work or skill . anyone can do it has 3 dimensional viewpoint its involves many things talent is one of it also but its also have hardwork motivation, discipline and background of people which lead them to have the improvise and unlcok potential in the area of their speciality,.lets take a example of osama the css officer commisioned in 2025 .his father died in tragic accident and he worked at call center whihc is customer service center as by he applied for harvad and had secured a admision but futhermore after getting a degree he cameback and appeared in css exam and secured a placement and another example of famous musician raha fateh ali khan his was co singer with the famous singer nusrat fateh ali khan so his father saw a lack of talent and put him under the supervisory of nusrat fateh ali khan and he learned how performed well in singing so having talent matter obviously but the amount of work needed is brightup talent is same as orther guy who have no talent but putting a huge amount of work another prime example this cristiano ronaldo and lionel messi both are the world champions but messi have support and start playing and getting train by professionals rather then cristainao who had been working at that time tu support his family

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response engages with the topic by discussing talent alongside hard work, motivation, discipline and opportunity, and it offers examples from music and sport. However, it does not clearly answer whether you agree or disagree with the claim that people without talent become famous while genuine talent is undervalued. The examples of Osama and Ronaldo mainly illustrate perseverance or unequal support, rather than showing how fame and public appreciation are distributed in the arts. The point about Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is closer to the question, but its relevance is difficult to follow. State your position directly in the introduction, then develop two focused reasons with examples that clearly support that position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is an attempt to connect ideas, using phrases such as “also,” “let’s take an example,” and “another prime example.” The response also moves from a definition of talent to examples, so a basic line of thought is present. However, nearly all the material is presented as one long, unpunctuated sequence, with no clear paragraphing or distinct introduction and conclusion. The examples run into one another, and links such as “furthermore” do not make the relationship between points clear. Organise the essay into paragraphs, each with one main idea, and use clear topic sentences and references so readers can follow how each example supports your argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response attempts topic-related vocabulary, including “potential,” “speciality,” “discipline,” “supervisory,” and “placement,” and it refers to relevant fields such as music and singing. However, the range is limited and many word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to understand. For example, “excellence grip” and “brightup talent” do not express the intended ideas clearly, while “co singer” and “secured a placement” are imprecise in context. Spelling errors such as “compatibillity,” “unlcok,” and “commisioned” also reduce clarity. Build a more accurate vocabulary for discussing artistic ability, recognition and public success, and check spelling and common word combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example when describing Osama’s education and career, and it uses some linking clauses. However, sentence structures are often incomplete or run together, and errors in articles, agreement, verb forms and punctuation frequently make relationships between ideas unclear. The opening phrase, “talent is defined as the the perons having,” does not form a clear grammatical definition; later, “his father saw a lack of talent and put him” also leaves the intended meaning uncertain. Capitalisation and sentence boundaries are largely uncontrolled. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate conjunctions. Check each sentence for a subject, a correctly formed verb and appropriate punctuation.
