Student answer (Band 6.0)

IT IS OFTEN ARGUE THAT IN SOME DEVELOPED COUNTIRES NOWADAYS, THERE IS AN AGREEMENT THAT 'ANYONE CAN DO IT' IN THE ARTS LIKE MUSIC, LITERATURE, ACTING-CINEMA AND PAINTING. AS A RESULT INDIVIDUALS WITH LESS TALENT BECOME WEALTHY AND RECIEVE FAME AND GENUINE TALENT IS NOT VALUED IN THE SOCIETY. I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH ABOVE STATEMENT BECAUSE TO BECOME A FAMOUS ARTIST, PEOPLE NEED UNIQUE SELF SKILLS AS WELL AS SOCIAL AND INTERPERSONAL TRAITS.

ONE REASON WHY I AM NOT AGREE WITH THE STATEMENT IS THAT BECOME A FAMOUS ARTIST, PEOPLE NEED DIFFERENT AND PRODUCTIVE SKILLS. TO BE MORE SPECIFIC, ART AND JOURNY OF SUCESS IN ART INDUSTRY DEMAND HARD WORK AND PATIENCE. ART REQUIRE LONG PRACTICE EVERYDAY. SOME ARTIST SACRIFICE THEIR PERSONAL LIFE AND TIME FOR THEIR PROFFESION. TO EXEMPLIFY, MUSICIAN AND ACTORS START THEIR TRAINING DURING CHILDHOOD. ACTOR SALMAN KHAN AND MUSICIAN A.R. RAHMAN IS MOST PROMINENT EXAMPLE.

UNDOUBTEDLY, ANOTHER IMPORTANT REASON IS THAT PEOPLE CAN ATTRACT AND PRAISE WHEN ARTIST REALLY DO SOMETHING DIFFERENTLY AND PRESENT THEIR OPINION GENUINELY IN PUBLIC. IN OTHER WORDS, SINGER, SONG WRITER AND INTSTRUMENT PLAYER PERFORM AND GENERATE DIFFERENT CREATIVITY AT THAT TIME PEOPLE EMOTIONALLY CONNECTED WITH ARTIST. SOME ART FIELD SUCH AS LITERATURE NEED BETTER UNDERSTANDING ABOUT INDIVIDUALS INTERPERSONAL ITELLIGENCE, MINDSET OF PEOPLE ACCORDING TO THEIR AGE GROUP AS WELL AS UDERLYING ASSUMPTION. MOREOVER, ACTING AND CINEMA NEEDS EMOTIONAL CONNECTION WITH STORY-LINE AND CHARACTER. WHILST, SOME PEOPLE HAVE GOD GIFTED SKILLS AND TALENT AND THIS IS POSITIVELY BENEFICIAL FOR ANY PERSON. CONSEQUENTLY, WITHOUT TELENT AND PRODUCTIVE TRAITS, IT IS DIFFICULT TO BECOME RICH AND FAMOUS IN THIS COMPETITIVENESS WORLD.

IN CONCLUSION, IN THIS CONTEMPORARY ERA, SOME NATURAL SKILLS CONSIDERABLY OFFERS MERITS FOR INDIVIDUALS TO BECOME FAMOUS. HOWEVER, HARD WORK AND EACH PERSONS' OWN ABILITY HELP TO ACHIVE FORTUNE AND FAMOUS.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you disagree that people without talent can readily become famous, and you return to this view in the conclusion. The discussion is relevant and gives two supporting lines of reasoning: artistic success requires sustained practice, and audiences respond to distinctive, emotionally engaging work. The examples of Salman Khan and A. R. Rahman help make the first point more concrete. However, the second paragraph moves through several fields without fully explaining how these examples prove that genuine talent is valued, and the conclusion introduces natural ability alongside hard work without resolving their relationship. To strengthen the response, explain the link between each example and your claim, and address more directly whether fame can sometimes occur without artistic merit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and its main progression—from practice to audience connection—is generally logical. Linking expressions such as “To be more specific,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. This gives the response a coherent overall arrangement. At times, however, transitions feel mechanical, and the second body paragraph packs together music, literature, acting and natural talent without clear development between them. Some references are also difficult to follow, particularly “at that time” and “this,” whose meaning is not fully clear. Group related examples and use clearer topic sentences and references so each paragraph develops one central point more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “interpersonal traits,” “emotionally connect,” “creativity” and “underlying assumption,” and these choices show an effort to discuss different art forms precisely. Some less common expressions are not used naturally, however: “journey of success in art industry,” “productive skills” and “generate different creativity” make parts of the argument harder to understand. Spelling and word-form errors are also noticeable, including “sucess,” “proffesion,” “intelligence” and “telent.” These issues limit the precision and fluency of the vocabulary, even though the overall topic remains understandable. Focus on accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; simpler, natural phrasing is more effective than an ambitious expression used inaccurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when” and “without,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms recur. For example, “I am not agree” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “Art require” and “Actor Salman Khan and musician A.R. Rahman is” show agreement problems. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and several later sentences join ideas in ways that make their relationships unclear. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Careful editing for articles, agreement and complete sentence structure would make your ideas easier to read.
