Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, there is an attitude of anyone can do it in the arts- music, literature, acting, art, etc in some countries. Consequently, people with no apparent talent become rich and famous meanwhile, genuine talent is not valued or appreciated. I agree with the statement and now I'll be giving my explanation in favour of the statement.
Art has always fascinated people from all ages from the ancient times. We see famous people from the past leaving their legacy in each section of art like music, literature, acting and so on. The famous name in literature is Shakespear who is undeniably worthy of his praise. Michael Jackson enriched pop music in a short span of time with so many famous songs. Charlie Chaplin is still remember for his outsatnding performances. But not many names come to our mind from recent times. It is because art has not been same these days. The people being famous in the arts are not genuine talent and they even do not have much knowledge about art. In the present time we do not see a painting like that of Vangogh's "Starry night". Because people has lost the talented ones in the process.
The scarcity of genuine talent is largely attributed to the attitude of people thinking everyone is born with the talent of doing everything and trying to establish the same. A child born with no talent for art will definitely fail to bring out outstanding art from within. Meanwhile a child with talent is not given the opportunity due to financial inability or his lack of artistic background. For example, Kanye West is famous for his music while Shawn Mendes is still criticised.
The gien statement sums up the above mentioned facts and I agree with it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that people without genuine ability can gain fame while talented artists are overlooked. The historical examples of Shakespeare, Michael Jackson and Charlie Chaplin are relevant, and you also introduce barriers such as financial difficulty and lack of an artistic background. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because several claims are asserted rather than explained. For instance, saying that “people has lost the talented ones” does not show how the public’s attitude causes this, and the Kanye West/Shawn Mendes example is not clearly connected to your argument. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and clarify whether you are discussing talent, opportunity, or public recognition.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas are generally grouped by topic, and transitions such as “Consequently” and “For example” help signal relationships. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The first body paragraph moves from historical artists to present-day art and then to a claim about lost talent without fully connecting these points. The second paragraph also shifts from the public’s attitude to children’s ability and then to two musicians whose relevance is not explained. Some linking is repetitive or mechanical, including repeated references to “talent” and “art.” Use clearer topic sentences and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s central claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “legacy,” “fascinated,” “scarcity,” “artistic background” and “outstanding performances.” These choices show an attempt to go beyond basic wording. However, the range is uneven, and several inaccurate or awkward expressions make parts of the argument less clear, such as “the famous name in literature,” “the people being famous in the arts are not genuine talent,” and “bring out outstanding art from within.” There are also spelling errors, including “Shakespear,” “outsatnding” and “gien.” Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; this will make your ideas sound more natural and easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “Meanwhile” and a relative clause in “a child born with no talent for art.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “people has lost” instead of “people have lost,” “Charlie Chaplin is still remember” instead of “is still remembered,” and “art has not been same” instead of “art has not been the same.” The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical link after “there is an attitude.” Practise subject–verb agreement, passive forms, articles and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence to ensure its structure is complete and accurate.
