In some countries today, there is an attitude that 'anyone can do it' in the arts - music, literature, acting, art, etc. As a result, people with no talent become rich and famous and genuine talent is not valued or appreciated.
Do you agree or disagree?
You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In a highly evolving environment, many attitudes are being performed and we are witnessing many talents that are merely thrown in the rubbish bin. evidently mentioning the genuine artistic talents being undervalued and unseen while the unqualified and purposeless people are taking over the spotlights and claiming the most of fame and fortune.
Nowadays, the number of "content creator" in numerous fields such as arts, music and acting are massively increasing. People who are feeding a community out of silliness and meaningless content, hiding behind the name of art, are being valued and praised by the users and they are reaching the flow state they are aiming for. While people who hold years of studying and research, many years of discovering someone's talent and developing it and they are literally ready to feed the fine art pillars, are being ignored and sinking in the unemployment or fighting with inappropriate working conditions such as the low provided wage for many actors, no copyrights or stealing for authors and musicians. For instance, we see today the number of Tunisian actors rising, originally presented as social media "influencers" and "content creators". Those people succeeded in securing a place in the cinema industry by merely being well known and neglecting all the needed skills and talent required to be on stage, while many skilled and eager people didn't even make it to the auditions.
To sum up, I do believe that this kind of mistreatment for the talented people need to come to an end and for that I do recommend urgent regulations set by the government, The anyone can do it attitude needs to stop and we need to start accepting not everyone is born as an actor, musician, writer or artist. Those are fine degrees that people work hard for to obtain. let's please stop making fake "artists" famous and rich while the real ones are starving with masterpieces in spirits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that people without artistic ability can gain fame while genuine talent is overlooked. The discussion is relevant and includes a specific example of Tunisian social-media personalities entering cinema, alongside concerns about low pay and copyright theft. This gives the response a sound basis and addresses the question. However, some claims are asserted rather than explained: for example, you describe content as “silliness and meaningless” without showing how popularity directly displaces talented artists, and the recommendation for government regulation is not developed. The conclusion also makes a broad claim that not everyone is born to be an artist, rather than clarifying how talent should be recognised. Develop these points with clearer reasoning and evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an opening statement, a main paragraph with examples, and a concluding recommendation. The Tunisian example gives the central discussion a useful focus. However, progression within the main paragraph is difficult to follow because several ideas are packed into one long sequence, and the contrast beginning “While people who hold years of studying…” is not completed as a clear independent clause. Linking words such as “Nowadays,” “For instance,” and “To sum up” help signal stages, but the relationships between some claims remain unclear. The opening also repeats the central contrast before the body develops it. Use separate paragraphs for the main reasons and example, and make each paragraph’s point explicit before adding supporting detail.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a varied vocabulary suited to the topic, including “undervalued,” “unemployment,” “copyrights,” “inappropriate working conditions,” and “regulations.” These choices show an effort to discuss the arts and employment precisely. However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or unclear, such as “attitudes are being performed,” “thrown in the rubbish bin,” “reaching the flow state,” and “fine art pillars.” The phrase “the most of fame and fortune” also obscures your meaning. These inaccuracies sometimes make the reader work to interpret your point, which limits the effectiveness of the range. Prefer familiar, accurate collocations and check whether each phrase expresses the intended idea; for example, describe artists as “being overlooked” rather than using an unusual metaphor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt complex structures, including relative clauses and contrasts, as in “People who are feeding a community…” and “While people who hold years of studying…”. This shows some range, but control is uneven. The “While” clause is left without a complete main clause, and the opening sentence is a fragment rather than a complete statement. There are also agreement and article problems, such as “the number of ‘content creator’ … are” and “this kind of mistreatment … need.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, particularly the lower-case “evidently” after the opening sentence and the capitalised “The” after a comma. Build complex sentences around complete clauses, and proofread for subject–verb agreement, sentence boundaries, and punctuation.
