Student answer (Band 4.5)
"Anyone can do it" is a strong phrase. But this phrase is very much true, even the history tells us the same thing. But today people doesn't agree with it, they think talent is not appreciated in the today era. They think people who are successful in this era were born with a golden spoon. Because when someone become successful people doesn't think about the struggle he went through to get this far. Take the example of the Elon Musk the richest person inthe world. Now, people will talk how he has so much money but he doesn't give his wealth to the people. It is nonsense the way people talk about it. People will not see his struggle.
But the question is still the same "what about the talent?". Well, talent is still rewarding in this era but people don't know how to show their talent to the world. Simply people arenot maintaining their internet presence . Because if you are best painter in the world and don't have your professional social media profile you will never be successful as a painter in this era. If you have a talent you have to show that talent to the world, so the people can reach out to you and appreciate your work. Everything you thought had meaning every moment of happiness, dreams or hope none of its matter as lie dying on the battlefield. None of its changes what a speeding rock does to a body, we all die. Does that mean our life are meaningless? Does that mean their is no point in our being born?

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response takes a broadly clear position: it argues that success in the arts is still possible and that people need to promote their work. However, it addresses the prompt only minimally because it does not directly examine whether people without talent become rich and famous or whether genuine artistic talent is undervalued. The Elon Musk example concerns wealth and public criticism, not achievement in music, literature, acting or art, so it does little to support the argument. The point about social media is relevant but asserted rather than illustrated with a specific artistic example. The final questions about life and death are unrelated and leave the argument without a focused conclusion. Develop a direct answer to both claims in the prompt and support it with relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into paragraphs, and phrases such as “But the question is still the same” signal a shift to a new point. However, ideas are not arranged coherently overall: the opening moves from the phrase “anyone can do it” to historical claims and then to Elon Musk, without establishing a clear line of reasoning about the arts. The second paragraph introduces social media, but the abrupt final passage about dying on a battlefield has no clear connection to the preceding discussion. Linking words such as “But” and “Because” are used repeatedly, and some references, including “this era,” are vague. Use a clear introduction, focused body paragraphs, and a conclusion that follows from the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate some basic ideas, with relevant terms such as “talent,” “successful,” “professional social media profile,” and “appreciate your work.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or repetitive, including repeated use of “people,” “talent,” and “successful.” Some collocations are awkward, such as “talent is still rewarding” and “show their talent to the world”; more precise phrasing would make the argument clearer. There are also spelling and spacing problems in “int he” and “arenot,” which reduce polish. Aim to use a wider range of topic-specific language about artistic recognition, skill, and public exposure, while checking spelling and choosing natural word combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response uses mostly simple sentence patterns, with some attempts at longer structures and questions, such as “If you have a talent you have to show that talent to the world, so the people can reach out to you.” However, errors are frequent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “people doesn't agree,” “when someone become successful,” and “our life are meaningless,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “Take the example of the Elon Musk” and “Because when someone become successful people doesn't think…”. The final sequence of questions contains further agreement errors, including “their is no point.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete sentence structures before attempting more complex sentences.
