Student answer (Band 5.0)
There are many rumers like that 'anyone can do it in arts music, literature, acting, and other arts like that and that is why some poeple belive that there are many other induviduals around us who got real and genuien talent but could not giot there desireable results on the basis of their talent and on the other hand people wioth a samll ordinary talent becoming rich and famous dayb after day.I personally believe that there are no such thingd like the poeple with no talent got facilitate and other with talent left behind .I think if a person motivate enough and honest with his gol and above all if he is hardworking he will automtically achieve his goal md personl aims of his life.If we talk about the person who are very talented left behind ,there are some reasons of their failiur which which are less hardworking , impatient and less motivated with their goals that is why they lrft in the long run of life and othrts talks are laim excuses which the use to compnsate thire faliure and to get sympathy from society.Yea talent helps you alot to achoieve your goals it will keep you next to there compitators if you hve motivation and hardworking mindset in your personality. So the aets like music, literature, acting and arts do not depands on only on talent thry want pure dadication ,honesty and truthfullness in you .In this way you can achieve your goals and have a chance to show your talent to the world and become famous and rich.In conclusion i would say tht have ltent is good thing but if you wnt to become succesful in your life you have to struggle and work hard only with talent you could not achieve your maximum capability of success.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position against the claim, arguing that success in the arts depends on dedication and hard work as well as talent. This is relevant to the question, and you also offer a reason why talented people may not succeed, such as being “less hardworking” or “impatient.” However, the response mainly asserts these points rather than developing them with a specific example or explanation. It also does not directly examine the claim that people with little talent become rich and famous, or explain whether genuine talent is undervalued. To strengthen the response, address both parts of the prompt explicitly and support your position with a concrete example, such as how persistence and public recognition affect an artist’s career.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a recognisable overall direction: you introduce the issue, state your opinion, give reasons, and finish with a conclusion. However, most of the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the stages of the argument are difficult to distinguish. Ideas are often joined by repeated connectors such as “and,” “that is why,” and “so,” while the opening sentence contains several points without clear separation. Some links are also hard to follow, particularly the shift from people with talent being left behind to the claim that their explanations are “lame excuses.” Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one main idea with clear, accurate transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “talent,” “motivated,” “hardworking,” “competitors,” and “dedication.” These choices show that you can express the central ideas, but the range is limited and several words or phrases are inaccurate or repeated. For example, “achieve your goals” appears in similar forms several times, and “got facilitate” does not clearly express the intended meaning. Frequent spelling errors, including “genuien,” “desireable,” and “succesful,” also make the writing harder to read. Build a more precise range for discussing artistic success and recognition, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More accurate collocations would help you communicate your argument with less effort for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use conditional structures, as in “if a person motivate enough … he will automatically achieve his goal.” However, these complex attempts are often faulty, and many sentences contain errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, or sentence boundaries. For instance, “there are no such thing” should use a plural form, while “the person who are very talented” has a mismatch between the noun and verb. The opening sentence also runs on through several clauses, making the relationships between ideas unclear. Use shorter, complete sentences when needed, and practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms. More accurate punctuation and a wider range of controlled sentence patterns would make your meaning easier to follow.
