Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is commonly belived that 'anyone can do it' is an attitude in the fealed of arts such as music, literature, acting and so on in some nations nowadays. whather the genuine talent is not valued, while people with no talent become popular and wealthy. This essay will discuss why i partially agree with this statement and also give some relevent reasons.
On the one hand, the first and formost reason is social media where that people post their short videos by using some AI features. For example, people with no talent use AI tools to enhance the quality of their music and listeners do not distinguish betweem orignal and fake composition. Secondly, public interest is in simple and entertaining content videos which they can easily understand and enjoy more. Furthermore, art and literature seem boring to people as it is serious and need deep understanding of things which is why it is less appealing to the public.
On the other hand, although some people who have deep understanding of art and literature they really appreciate the real talent of artistic personalities and value them, but talented people get less oppertunities to show their talent, while the untelented people who have some good connections with famous personalitie, they get good role on the behalf of their connections

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a partially agreeing position and address both sides: you explain how AI-enhanced content and public preference for simple entertainment can reduce appreciation of artistic work, then note that genuine artists may have fewer opportunities while connections help others. These points are relevant, but the position and argument are only partly developed. The introduction says the essay will give reasons, yet does not clearly explain the extent of your agreement, and the final paragraph ends without a conclusion. The claims about audiences and connections would be stronger with a specific example and explanation of how they affect recognition or income. The response is also 33 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop the argument fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “On the one hand,” and a contrasting paragraph beginning “On the other hand.” Sequencing words such as “Firstly” and “Secondly” help signal the supporting points. However, progression is limited because the essay stops before a concluding paragraph, and the relationship between some ideas is not always clear. For example, the shift from AI-generated music to the claim that art and literature seem boring is abrupt and needs a clearer link. The long sentence beginning “although some people…” is difficult to follow because it combines appreciation of talent, lack of opportunities, and personal connections. Use clearer sentence boundaries and develop one main point at a time.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “AI features,” “composition,” “public interest,” “genuine talent,” and “opportunities.” These terms help communicate the subject, but the overall range is limited and several spelling errors make the writing less clear, such as “belived,” “fealed,” “whather,” “relevent,” and “oppertunities.” Some word combinations are also awkward: “good role on the behalf of their connections” does not express the intended idea naturally, and “simple and entertaining content videos” is imprecise. Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, such as “secure roles through personal connections.” More precise vocabulary would help distinguish artistic skill, popularity, and commercial success.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt complex structures, including “although” and “which is why,” and use both simple and longer sentences. However, complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow. For example, “although some people who have deep understanding of art and literature they really appreciate…” has an unnecessary “they” after the introductory clause, and the sentence continues with several ideas that are not clearly joined. There are also errors with articles and sentence construction, as in “art and literature seem boring to people as it is serious and need deep understanding.” Capitalisation is inconsistent, including “i” and “whather” at the start of sentences. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas with accurate subordinate clauses and punctuation.
