Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is commonly belived that 'anyone can do it' is an attitude in the field of arts such as music, literature, acting and so on in some nations nowadays. whather the genuine talent is not valued, while people with no talent become popular and wealthy. This essay will discuss why I strongly agree with this statement and also give some relevent reasons.
On the one hand, the first and formost reason is social media where that people post their short videos by using some AI features. For example, people with no talent use AI tools to enhance the quality of their music and listeners do not distinguish betweem orignal and fake composition. Secondly, public interest is in simple and entertaining content videos which they can easily understand and enjoy more. Furthermore, art and literature seem boring to people as it is serious and need deep understanding of things which is why it is less appealing to the public.
On the other hand, although some people who have deep understanding of art and literature they really appreciate the real talent of artistic personalities and value them, but talented people get less oppertunities to show their talent, while the untelented people who have some good connections with famous personalitie, they get good role on the behalf of their connections and become popular.
In conclusion, although talent and hardwork are important to become successful, advancement of social media and strong connection or infulence of untalented people make them famous and talent people suffer difficulities, such as less opportunities and huge competition.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that people without genuine artistic ability can become famous while talented artists are undervalued. You give relevant reasons, including AI-enhanced music, public preference for easily understood content, and connections that help some people obtain roles. However, the discussion only partly develops the task. The point about audiences preferring simple content is asserted rather than illustrated, and the claim that genuine talent is appreciated by some people is not reconciled with your overall argument that it is not valued. Develop each reason with a specific example and explain more directly how it leads to fame for less-talented people or disadvantages skilled artists. This would make your response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. The main ideas are generally grouped by topic, so the reader can follow the broad argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from AI to audience preferences and then to art and literature without showing how these points connect. The contrast in the second body paragraph is also difficult to follow, particularly the long sentence beginning “although some people.” Use clearer topic sentences and divide complex points into shorter units. Make links between claims explicit rather than relying mainly on basic sequencing phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “AI features,” “composition,” “artistic personalities,” “opportunities,” and “competition,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “enhance the quality of their music.” However, spelling errors are frequent, including “belived,” “whather,” “relevent,” and “oppertunities,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “good role on the behalf of their connections.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less immediate. Build accuracy by checking spelling carefully and learning natural combinations such as “secure a role through personal connections.” Aim for precise terms rather than repeating broad words such as “people” and “talent.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrastive structure beginning “although” and a relative clause in “people who have some good connections.” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms. However, complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to control. For example, “although some people … they really appreciate” uses an unnecessary second subject, and “art and literature … is serious and need deep understanding” has problems with agreement and sentence structure. There are also issues with articles, plurals, and punctuation that make some sentences harder to process. Practise building one clear main clause at a time, then add subordinate clauses with correct agreement and punctuation. Greater control of these patterns would improve readability.
