You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent years art become more common between the people and this thing make the talentless people more popular rather than the people who has real god gifted talent . I frimiliy agree with this statment because of follwing reasons .

The talentless people become more famouse among the public because of social media platforms .For instance now a days many people become famous overnight by uploading videos on social media platform like tiktok and youtube . They show their fake talent by using speical toos like editing and add melody in their singnig online in this way the become successful without donig practical efforts .For example in pakistan many pop singer become popular without singing infront of public . another reason it that in this era the companies and the public also prefer convenice they promot online talent because of their own peace . And in this way the talntless people earn lots of money through the promotion and the sponsership .

On the other hand the talented people fighting for their survival because lack of public interset in original talent . For instance many classical musician and painters does a lots of efforts to polish their ability but than they were rejected through the public because they have no social media account they can not use any editing the things the people like today . In our country we can see many artist on roads who were salling their talent like nothing just for earn something it is really unfair attitude about their talent .

In conclusion , I strongly agree that the belief"anyone can do it"in arts has led to a situation where fame dose not equal talent .This not only promotes mediocirt but alsso discourges among the real artists

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I firmly agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both sides of the claim: social media can make people without strong artistic ability famous, while classical musicians and painters may struggle for recognition. The examples of edited online singing and artists selling their work on the streets are relevant and help explain your view. This meets the task well, but some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that companies promote online talent for their “own peace” is unclear, and the Pakistan example would be stronger with a specific illustration of how popularity outweighs artistic skill. Develop these links and qualify broad claims to make the argument more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about online fame, a contrasting paragraph about talented artists, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “For instance,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, progression within the body paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined together without clear sentence boundaries. The shift from social-media fame to companies’ preferences, for example, needs a clearer explanation. Some references, such as “this thing” and “in this way,” are also vague, while repeated use of “for instance” makes cohesion somewhat mechanical. Separate and order the supporting points more carefully, and use precise references to link each sentence to the idea before it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social media platforms,” “classical musician,” “polish their ability,” “promotion,” and “sponsorship.” These choices show an attempt to discuss artistic recognition and online fame. However, the range and control are limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices, such as “famouse,” “speical toos,” “convenice,” and “salling their talent.” Some phrases also make the meaning unclear, particularly “for their own peace” and “like nothing.” Aim to use accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “gain recognition,” “artistic skill,” and “commercial success” would help express your ideas clearly and appropriately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “On the other hand” and a reason clause beginning “because.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “art become more common,” “people who has,” and “many classical musician and painters does,” where verb forms and subject–verb agreement are not controlled. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “the talentless people” and the long sentence beginning “They show their fake talent” would benefit from more accurate article use and clearer punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add complex clauses while checking agreement, tense, and punctuation.
