Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a position—“I partially agree”—and discuss both the growth of participation in the arts and the idea that people with little talent can become wealthy through social media. However, the response only partially addresses the central issue: whether genuine talent is consequently undervalued or unappreciated. That point is mentioned, but not explained or supported with a clear example. The examples are also difficult to interpret: the reference to “indigo campaines” is unclear, while the Sidhu Moosewala example appears to show success through singing talent rather than fame without talent. Develop a consistent argument by explaining how online popularity can reward visibility over artistic skill, then contrast this with cases where talented artists are recognised.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To commence” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These paragraph divisions help readers identify the broad stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several ideas are joined without clear logical links. For example, the first body paragraph moves from communication skills to uploading songs, working for money, and an unclear example. Connect each point explicitly to your position and use one focused example per paragraph. Some linking expressions, including “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “Consequently,” are used mechanically or do not show the precise relationship between ideas. Clearer referencing and more purposeful transitions would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “talent,” “wealthy,” “popular,” “luxury lifestyle,” and “social media,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and many word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Phrases such as “make an positive attitude,” “to famous,” and “make reel” do not express the intended meanings naturally. There are also repeated forms such as “talent” and “rich,” and misspellings including “genuiune,” “supar,” and “decaded.” Build a bank of accurate topic phrases—such as “gain popularity online” and “artistic ability”—and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the essay includes some subordinate clauses, such as “that they try to make reel on social media.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries can make the meaning hard to follow. Examples include “youngster are developing,” “many pupils makes,” and “since 2013 he had initiate.” The opening also runs “life. However” together, while several sentences join contrasting ideas without correct punctuation or structure. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one clause at a time using conjunctions such as “because” or “although.” Check verb tense and agreement in every sentence.
