You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
In contemporary societies, there is a perception that anyone can perform in arts, music, literature, acting and art. Consequently, people having no talent become wealthy and get fame, which is why the real talent is not valued and recognized. I largely agree with this view. In this essay, i will explain the reasons due to which i agree with this opinion,
One major reason why people with limited artistic abilities can become famous is the influence of social media and digital entertainment platforms. Nowadays, individuals can attract millions of followers through entertaining videos, controversial arguments or carefully controlled public persona.
Furthermore, when their videos become viral and get a massive appreciation from public, they feel valued and heard. Consequently, they monetize their channels and earn millions of rupees. When they get rich, they spend their wealth on promotions and sponsorships, which help them get more fame and money. It creates a vicious cycle of money, fame and popularity.
Certainly, people with real skills and talent struggle to gain popularity. There are several reasons that why the people with genuine talent feel undervalued. One of the main reason is, the lack of sufficient resources. For instance, a person with an exceptional writing ability cannot publish their novel because of lack of enough money. Additionally, if they are not popular, few people will read their novel, which leads to the loss of confidence. Consequently, people with extraordinary abilities may suffer to reveal their talent.
To sum up, I'm convinced that online popularity and promotions can make unintelligent people more successful in terms of money and fame, and intelligent people suffer due to lack of resources.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I largely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both sides of the claim by explaining how online platforms can reward people with limited artistic ability and how talented people may lack resources and recognition. The examples of viral videos, sponsorships and an unpublished novel are relevant. However, the discussion is uneven: the social-media explanation is more fully developed, while the barriers facing talented artists are mainly illustrated through one hypothetical writer. The essay also focuses on fame and money more than on how genuine artistic work is overlooked or undervalued. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how popularity displaces appreciation of artistic quality and develop the second argument with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present related reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Consequently” and “To sum up” help readers follow the progression. The first body paragraph also develops a clear cause-and-effect chain from viral content to monetisation and promotion. At times, however, the links feel mechanical because several sentences begin with the same consequence markers. The transition between the two main arguments could be more explicit, and “There are several reasons” promises a broader explanation than the paragraph provides. Use a wider range of referencing and transitions, and make each paragraph’s central point and supporting explanation more tightly connected.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “digital entertainment platforms,” “controversial arguments,” “sponsorships,” “genuine talent” and “vicious cycle.” These choices communicate your ideas clearly, and some phrases show an attempt to discuss the issue precisely. However, several expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “get fame,” “massive appreciation from public,” “real talent” and “suffer to reveal their talent.” The repeated use of “fame,” “talent” and “people” also limits flexibility. Aim for more natural collocations and distinguish artistic skill from intelligence: calling successful online figures “unintelligent” is not fully supported by the argument. More precise wording would make the discussion sound more controlled and academic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses with “which is why” and “which leads to,” and conditional phrasing such as “if they are not popular.” Most sentences remain understandable, so grammatical errors rarely obstruct the message. Some errors nevertheless recur in agreement, articles, punctuation and sentence construction. For example, “One of the main reason is, the lack” needs plural agreement and should not separate the subject from its complement with a comma; “because of lack of enough money” has an article and structure problem. The opening also has inconsistent capitalisation of “I” and ends with a comma. Review these patterns and proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation while continuing to use complex clauses.
