Student answer (Band 6.0)

In certain territories, people believe that 'everyone can do it' in the arts such as music, dance, acting. Therefore, persons without any special quality become success, whereas authentic talented people do not get proper apreciation. I firmly agree with the viewpoint as technology has made everything possible to happen without any talent and sometimes the pure talent leg behind.

To begin, socail media platforms play a crucial role in shaping our lives. People can post anything on Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram such as dance videos, funny contents, mimic vidoes as they want. The audiences measure their quality based on the views not on their talents. As a result, they become famous in a short period time and without any effort. when the business owners send them various products for promotion, they get a handsome amount of remuneration. Apart from this, they get the opportunity for professinal acting due to their millions of views and followers on social media.

Moreover, now anyone can sing and get popularity amoung huge number of individuals by using auto tune withut having a proficient voice for singing. On the other hand, there are a number of talented people who are struggling to get a chance to sing as a playback singer or act in a darma. Therefore, many young adults become frustrated and commit suicide.

However, many TV channels has launched various reality shows based on genuine talent. They take auditiones and find out the appropiate perticipents. Consequently, they bring out real talents even from remote areas from the country. Indian Idols, Dance Bangla Dance, Dance Dewane are some of the examples of these shows. It is a matter of sorrow that they have limited seats. As a result, only few get the chance to shine in the field of arts.

To sum up, I fundamentally agree with the aforementioned notion as it is very easy to get the attention of the viewers by doing anything on sicial media and quality doesn't matter. But many real telented person do not recognised sufficiently.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I firmly agree”) and is maintained in the conclusion. You address the claim by explaining how social-media views and autotune can bring attention or opportunities to people you consider less talented, while genuine performers may struggle to get noticed. The reality-show example also adds a relevant qualification. This meets the task well, but the support is uneven: the point that young adults may “commit suicide” is serious and is asserted without explanation or evidence, while the reality-show paragraph could explain more clearly how these programmes affect the wider value placed on artistic talent. To strengthen the response, develop each main claim with a specific, credible example and clarify the distinction between popularity and artistic ability.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting the problem, a contrasting paragraph about talent shows, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “To begin,” “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” make the progression easy to follow. This is a solid organisational foundation. However, some connections are mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear. For example, the move from struggling performers to frustration and suicide needs a more explicit explanation, and “Apart from this” introduces a related consequence without showing how it differs from the previous point. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make links between cause, consequence, and example more precise. The conclusion also repeats the opening claim rather than drawing together the main reasoning.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “social media platforms,” “remuneration,” “playback singer,” “audition,” and “remote areas.” These choices help you discuss both online fame and formal talent competitions. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “become success,” “authentic talented people,” “the pure talent leg behind,” and “proper apreciation” are examples. There are also repeated broad terms such as “talent,” “famous,” and “chance,” which limit precision. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; for instance, distinguish between becoming successful and achieving success, and use precise terms for recognition, artistic skill, and professional opportunities. This would make your ideas clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “whereas,” “as,” and “although”-type contrast, and most of the argument remains understandable. Some sentence patterns are effective, such as the explanation of how social-media audiences judge performers by views. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “many TV channels has launched” should use a plural verb, and “many real talented person do not recognised” needs a plural noun and a correctly formed passive verb. The sentence beginning “when the business owners…” also starts with a lowercase letter after a full stop. Review subject–verb agreement and passive forms, then proofread sentence boundaries. More consistently accurate complex sentences would improve control without requiring more complicated ideas.
