Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify the central concern that people without strong ability can become famous, and you give a relevant example involving TikTok. However, the response only minimally addresses the question: it does not clearly state whether you agree or disagree, and the opening says that “both views are discussed below” even though the essay does not develop two views or reach a conclusion. The point that talented people “got no chance” is relevant but is not explained or supported with a specific example. The response is also 84 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop your position and supporting reasons. State your view directly, then explain and illustrate it in a complete essay.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the first paragraph introduces the topic, the next discusses fame without talent, and the final paragraph mentions the effect on talented people. This gives the reader a rough sense of the intended direction. However, progression is limited, and the final paragraph is too brief to develop its point. The opening promise that “both views are discussed below” does not match the structure that follows. Linking is also repetitive or awkward, particularly the repeated use of “Nowadays” and the sentence fragments beginning “Because.” Use clear topic sentences and connect each claim to an explanation or example; finish with a conclusion that restates your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, with repeated use of “famous,” “talent,” and “skills.” Some topic-related language is appropriate, including “arts,” “music,” “literature,” and “demotivated,” and the TikTok example makes the subject clear. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “buy respect,” “real talents in most important thing,” and “the same is” when referring to music. Spelling errors such as “whithout” and “geniune” also weaken control. Build a more precise range for discussing recognition and ability—for example, “gain popularity,” “artistic merit,” and “recognise genuine talent”—and check spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, with little evidence of controlled complex structures. Errors occur frequently in sentence formation and agreement: “Respecting the real talents in most important thing” lacks a complete, correctly formed clause, while “most of the people becomes famous” has subject–verb disagreement. “Because appreciating real talent is a respectable manner” is an incomplete sentence, and “if i talk about tik tok” is not integrated smoothly into the example. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and punctuation, including missing spaces after full stops. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use a few accurate clauses with “because,” “although,” or “as a result” to explain your ideas.
