Student answer (Band 5.5)

Globally, The Art is becoming a more versatile field with several options for interested candidates. However, in many regions of the world, many people believe that art including music, literature, acting etc can be done by anyone without having skills and used as a source of becoming popular and rich. As a result, people having real art skills are remain neglected. This essay will discuss how the talented ones are unappreciated in the arts due to this behaviour of many people.

In recent years, people or students whose academic results are not good enough, considered as a best choice for the arts without evaluating their interest and talent for the specific field in arts. This happens due to parental pressure and societal norms of becoming famous and financially stable. For instance, a film director wants his son to become an actor or director and continue his profession as family business and some they take controversial or biased routes to achieve their purpose. The occurance of this controversy is due to the wrong belief of many people related to the arts of becoming rich and well known.

As a result of this biasness, people who have a real talent for music, arts ,literature and acting can not get an opportunity to express their experties and innovation. For example, a versatile musician who do not have connections and links with the management is less likely to get the music concert. On the contrary, The opponent on the basis of personal relations get a chance without having extra ordinary skills.

Overall, Art is the huge field with various options like music, literature and acting etc. in the worldwide. It is considered as the most suitable option for becoming famous and wealthy without having real skills in some countries, which ultimately caused the ignorance of genuine artist. However,Art needs more versatile individuals exhibiting competency and capability as the demand of the modern world rather than source of a money and fame.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the topic by arguing that social and family pressures can favour people without strong artistic ability, while genuine artists lose opportunities. The examples of a director steering a child into acting and a musician lacking industry connections are relevant. However, the response only partly answers the agree-or-disagree question: your position is implied rather than stated clearly, and the discussion focuses more on nepotism and career choices than on the broader claim that anyone can succeed in the arts. Several points, such as the role of academic results and the effect of fame-seeking, are asserted but not explained or supported in depth. State your view directly in the introduction and develop fewer points with clearer reasoning and specific examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally follow a relevant sequence from social attitudes to their effects on talented artists. Linking phrases such as “As a result,” “For instance” and “On the contrary” help signal relationships. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the connection between poor academic results and being directed towards the arts needs explanation, and the contrast about the musician’s opportunity is difficult to follow. Some transitions feel mechanical, while repeated references to “arts” and “famous” do not always clarify how ideas connect. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then explain and illustrate it in a more deliberate order.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “societal norms,” “controversial,” “innovation,” “competency” and “capability,” showing an effort to express ideas beyond basic language. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “real art skills,” “the opponent on the basis of personal relations,” “the occurrence of this controversy,” and “source of a money and fame.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “experties” and “biasness.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling; for example, describe “artists with genuine talent” and “people with industry connections” rather than relying on awkward or unclear expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “who,” “whose” and “without,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, articles and punctuation, and some sentences are difficult to interpret. For example, “people having real art skills are remain neglected” combines incompatible verb forms; “a versatile musician who do not have” has subject–verb disagreement; and “some they take controversial or biased routes” is structurally unclear. Capitalisation and spacing around punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking each sentence for a complete main clause before adding extra information.
