Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, there is an attitude related to arts, music, acting, literature and many other perfromances that 'anyone that do it'. This cause a challenge for those people who have God gifted talent but they are poor and not have fame as the rich and famous people having no genuine talent take their place. In this way the real talent is not valued and appreciated.I absolutely agree with this perspective as there are enormous examples all over the World. In our country, this predicament is at a high altitude. Rich community always usurp the rights of the poor and are like snatchers of their rights. There is a plenty of talent in the poor class. The famous people never let the poor and local ones step forward into the arena of talent. In this way, the people having talent, are such that others aren't aware of their talent. Such people perform on the stage by giving a bribe whivh the poor cannot able to give. I consider it as the unfortuneate of our society, as such people who have real talent are not treated properly. The programs like dance performances, singing competitions, poetry, literature and some artistic works, give an opprtunity to the poor to come on the stage and reveal their genuine talent and art. Secondly, social media is also a huge source of providing this chance to poor. We can observe that a random video with a low quality, sometimes exhibits talent of the performers. This source is such a blessing and everlasting opprtunitiy for the people who really want to unveil their talent to all the World.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that genuine artistic ability is often overlooked, and you give relevant examples involving unequal access to performance opportunities and social media. The discussion addresses the topic, but some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that wealthy people “usurp the rights of the poor” is broad, and the essay does not show clearly how wealth leads to fame or why talented people are excluded. The final paragraph introduces competitions and online videos as ways to reveal talent, but their connection to the problem is not fully developed. Explain the causes and consequences more precisely, and support each main point with a specific example or explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable overall direction: it introduces your agreement, discusses barriers faced by poorer artists, and then mentions competitions and social media as opportunities. However, the ideas are crowded into one long paragraph, so the reader cannot easily distinguish the main argument from supporting examples. The transitions “In this way” and “Secondly” provide some linking, but “In this way” is repeated and does not always make the relationship between ideas clear. For instance, the move from bribery to competitions needs an explicit explanation of how these examples relate. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, each main point, and the conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one central idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “genuine talent,” “arena,” “predicament,” and “unveil their talent.” This shows an effort to use less common expressions, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. “At a high altitude” does not naturally describe the seriousness of a social problem, while “snatchers of their rights” is an awkward image. There are also spelling errors such as “perfromances,” “whivh,” and “opprtunity.” Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More straightforward wording, such as “wealthy people dominate the industry,” would communicate your argument more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including a sentence beginning “as there are enormous examples” and a clause describing people “who really want to unveil their talent.” However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, and verb forms sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “anyone that do it” has incorrect agreement, and “the poor cannot able to give” combines incompatible verb patterns. “There is a plenty of talent” also uses an incorrect article construction. Practise building accurate clauses before extending them, and check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns. Clearer punctuation and sentence boundaries would also help the reader follow your ideas.
