Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a position—“I partially agree”—and discuss both commercial success and the value of skill, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the position is not fully explained: it is unclear which kinds of artists you believe can succeed without talent and why. The point about people investing money in music is potentially useful, but the claim that they succeed “as business” is not supported with a specific example or explanation. The actor example also does not clearly show how genuine talent is undervalued. The response contains 201 words, below the 250-word minimum; 19 words copied from the prompt are excluded from that count. Develop your argument with clearer reasons and relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Connectors such as “However” and “To sum up” help signal contrast and closure. Nevertheless, progression between ideas is difficult to follow in places. The first body paragraph moves from learning and investing money to music production, then to acting and literature without clearly showing how these examples support your position. The actor paragraph gives examples but does not explain their relationship to the claim. Some references, such as “it” in “it may create problems,” are unclear. Build each paragraph around one main point, explain the example, and use linking phrases to show the relationship between claims.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “creativity,” “genuine talent,” “performing,” and “business,” which allows the reader to identify the subject. There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “crafted their skilled,” but inaccurate word forms and collocations make parts of the response difficult to interpret. Examples include “Art is languages of visuals,” “on the bases of moneys,” and “doing well in their craft.” Spelling errors such as “coutries,” “writting,” and “becuase” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural combinations of words and check spelling; precise vocabulary will help you distinguish artistic ability from commercial success.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a sentence beginning “As a result.” This shows some effort to connect clauses, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “Art belong to creativity” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “people are assuming that any one can do better” has an awkward verb construction. Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “Art is languages of visuals” and the run-on opening paragraph. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, then build longer sentences from clearly controlled clauses.
