Student answer (Band 6.0)

There are some countries in which people carry the attitude that "anyone can do it" when they think of art. Specifically, when it comes to music, literature, acting, etc. This mindset leads to individuals who have no knowledge of arts and possess no real talent gain fame and money. Dyue to that real talent gets little to no appreciation. I agree that the real artists dont get the reward they actually deserve.

In today's world, everything is available at the tip of our finger, just tap and get to see whatever various type of media such as watching digital content. Because of that, people have free access to excessive content available online, that they now do not value true art. Their mindset has shifted from appreciating to criticizing artists, which often comes a statement "anyone can do it".

As a result, people think that art is something anyone can do. They don't consider the fact that it takes an artist efforts of months to create a piece of art as compared to a silly video made online that gets thousands of views on social media overnight. Artists spend several hours to make a perfect piece of art. For example, acting requires hours of practice and learning scripts. Other music composers take months to write a song, think of the perfect rhythm, and compose their art.

In conclusion, the rise of digital media has blurred the line between genuine skill and overnight viral attention. While the accessibility of media allows communities to express themselves, it often sidelines the genuine talent and the dedication it takes to create a successful craft.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you agree that genuine artists are not sufficiently rewarded, and you connect this to the popularity of online content. The examples of actors practising scripts and composers developing songs help make the point relevant to the question. However, the response focuses more on how digital media encourages people to undervalue art than on directly showing that people without talent become rich and famous while skilled artists are overlooked. The claim that audiences have shifted from appreciating to criticising artists is also asserted rather than supported. To strengthen the response, develop this contrast with a specific example or explain more fully how viral fame affects recognition or income for talented artists. The argument is relevant, but some ideas need fuller support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs explain the influence of online media and the effort involved in artistic work, and the conclusion returns to the central contrast. This gives the reader a coherent line of argument. Some links between ideas are less smooth, however. The opening of the second paragraph, “In today's world, everything is available at the tip of our finger,” moves from the claim about fame to media access without clearly explaining the connection. “As a result” also appears to introduce a consequence that partly repeats the previous point. The conclusion is clear but introduces the idea of communities expressing themselves without developing it earlier. Make each paragraph’s main point explicit and use transitions to show cause and effect more precisely.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “genuine talent,” “digital content,” “viral attention,” “rhythm,” and “compose,” which helps communicate your ideas about art and online fame. There are also attempts at more expressive phrasing, such as “blurred the line,” though some combinations are not natural or precise: “carry the attitude,” “at the tip of our finger,” and “gets little to no appreciation.” The spelling error “Dyue” and informal wording such as “silly video” also reduce accuracy or suitability for an academic essay. These choices do not prevent understanding, but more consistent collocation and a more measured register would improve clarity. Aim to choose precise phrases for recognition, artistic skill, and public attention.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “a silly video made online that gets thousands of views” and a contrast introduced by “While” in the conclusion. Meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. The opening fragment, “Specifically, when it comes to music, literature, acting, etc.,” is not a complete sentence, and “leads to individuals … gain fame” needs a grammatical structure such as “leads to individuals gaining fame.” In “it takes an artist efforts,” the possessive or article pattern is incorrect, while “everything is available at the tip of our finger” has a number-agreement problem. Review sentence completeness, verb patterns after “lead to,” and possessives/articles. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
