Student answer (Band 6.0)
In todays generation peope are over confident and believe that art, music, literature, and acting can be learned by anyone, which result tallented people loose their values, while people without skills become wealthy and popular. I totally disagree with the statement because without proper knowledge, understanding and real tallent an individual cannot achieve the success.
To begin with, it is true these days people have an attitude that everything is possible and anyone can mastered in the field of arts. Practice and hardwork eventually helps people to learn but to be professionals one should have dedication, tallent, ability and interest toward it. Therefore, it is not something that can be achieved overnight. To be well-known a person should be competative and tallented. For instance, if a person study music or acting and gained knowledge but if they lack natural ability to demonstrate it, there is no value of theoretical knowledge.
On the other hand audience or viewers determine the real tallent. If someone is gifted by melodous voice they will be recognised by professionals and will get an opportunity in music industry. To illustrate, there is one famous female singer in Nepal named Eleena Chuhan, who was once normal women, she made cover song and uploaded it in social media which grab the attention of the public and become more popular than the original song, hence, she is singing star now.
In conclusion, everythig can be learned but it doesnot mean that real tallent will be less valued and appriciated in the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you disagree that people without talent become successful while genuine talent is overlooked. You address both talent and public recognition, and the Nepalese singer example gives the discussion a relevant, specific illustration. However, some parts of the argument are less fully developed than others. The first body paragraph mainly asserts that dedication and natural ability are needed, without explaining how this challenges the claim that untalented people can become rich and famous. The example also shows a singer gaining popularity, but does not establish whether her success reflects talent or how genuine talent is valued more broadly. Develop each point with clearer reasoning and directly connect the evidence to the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting related points, and a conclusion that restates your position. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the stages of the argument. Some connections, however, are mechanical or not fully clear. “On the other hand” suggests a contrasting position, although the paragraph continues to support your disagreement. The example about the singer also moves quickly from uploading a cover song to becoming a star, so the link between the evidence and your claim could be explained. Use transitions that reflect the actual relationship between ideas, and add clearer links between each example and your main argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “dedication,” “natural ability,” “theoretical knowledge,” and “recognised by professionals.” These choices help communicate your ideas about talent and success. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “tallented,” “competative,” “melodous,” and “appriciated.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “there is no value of theoretical knowledge” and “normal women.” Repeated use of “talent” and “popular” limits variety. Aim to check spelling carefully, choose more natural collocations, and use precise alternatives such as “professional training,” “public recognition,” or “a relatively unknown singer” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional construction in “if they lack natural ability to demonstrate it” and a relative clause in “who was once normal women.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “anyone can mastered” needs a base verb after “can,” while “Practice and hardwork eventually helps” has a subject–verb agreement problem. There are also issues with articles and number in “a person study music” and “a person should be competative,” as well as tense consistency in the singer example. Work on modal verb patterns, agreement, articles, and consistent past-tense narration; proofreading these patterns would make your varied sentences more accurate.
