Student answer (Band 5.0)

there is no denying that in some countries, there is an attitude that anybody is capble to do anything in any field related to art. As a result, people with no talent become rich and famous, while genuine talent is not valued or appreciated. While it is a commonly held belief that human capacities are unlimited, there is also an argument that opposess it. In my opinion, i consider that individual's can really do anything they inttend to do.

To begin with, people can learn new habits due to their mind's build which makes them the most brilliant creatures of this word, in other words, individuals focuses more on training their self to learn new thing and not rely on just talent. In addition, one of the most bases of success in any field is to train and keep the hard working by practicing, for example cristiano ronaldo is known as the greatest football player to some people and this is a result of his hard working not just deppending on talent.

In the other hand, beign born with a talent can be such a huge support and motive to success on a particular field, it is also possible to say that talented people are born with a great advantage comparing to others. Moreover, if a talented person use his talent as he should and improve it he would get an impressive results that can't be ignored and not appreciated, for instance the player Leo Messi who's known as Ronaldo's rival who is also considred the best footballer for some people and also known with his marvellous talent since he was a kid.

In conclusion, despite people having different views, i believe that anyone can do it

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear general view that people can succeed through effort, and the Ronaldo example supports your point about practice; the Messi example also recognises the value of natural ability. However, the response only partially addresses the specific claim in the prompt: whether people without talent become rich and famous while genuine talent is undervalued. Most of the discussion shifts to whether anyone can learn or whether talent helps, without explaining fame, wealth, or how society values artists. The conclusion, “anyone can do it,” is also broader than the argument developed. To strengthen the response, state your position on the prompt’s full claim and develop relevant examples from music, acting, literature, or visual art.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument, and the Ronaldo and Messi examples are placed in relevant paragraphs. However, the overall progression is limited because the body paragraphs compare effort and natural talent rather than building a sustained answer to the question about fame and appreciation. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, particularly “In the other hand,” and the final conclusion is too brief to bring the main points together. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph’s central claim explicit and using transitions that show the precise relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “talent,” “success,” “practicing,” “advantage,” and “appreciated,” and you attempt more expressive phrases such as “marvellous talent.” This gives you enough language to communicate the broad argument. However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts less clear, for example “capble,” “opposess,” “deppending,” and “considred.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “the most bases of success” and “a huge support and motive to success.” Aim to learn accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise language about recognition, popularity, and artistic achievement would also help you address the task directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a concession beginning “While it is a commonly held belief…” and conditional structures such as “if a talented person use his talent… he would get…”. These attempts show some range, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make the reader pause. Examples include “individual's can,” “individuals focuses,” “a talented person use,” and “he would get an impressive results,” where agreement or plural forms are incorrect. There are also problems with articles and sentence control, as in “one of the most bases of success.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement, singular and plural nouns, and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence for one clear grammatical structure.
