The diagram below shows the process for making a water clock.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The diagram demonstrate the method for construction of a water clock. initially we requires two water bottles, punch two hole in the 1st bottle, one at the bottom and other hole close to the neck. A straw will be inserted though the second hole. the 2nd bottle was cut into half, so that it looks like a container.

Tie both the bottles vertically on a L shape stand, 1st bottle on the top end while the 2nd one on the other end. Place this water clock model under a tap and fill the upper bottle with water until it overflows. the excess water will start pouring out through the straw.

remember to cover the bottom opening with your finger.
