Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is too difficult for older individuals over 50 to get a job in some countries, despite having good experience. It's due to orgnazation now prefers young individuals that are energatic and have skillset for modern AI era.

The first reason is businesses wants peoples who are freashly graduate than ollder one because they want those having energy and enthuasium. Many firms spending million for training of new employees, it's their long term strategy as you know the older one can't work more years as youngs. Adults do work with full dedication in the begining of their carrier, this would help both employees in form iof incentive and employer in business growth. To solve this, older individuals should be proved to the HR how they can be benificial to the company and their long term goals.

The another reason is technology has change converntional jobs. Now the requirement is persons sholud familar wit modern technology such as AI. People who born in 20th century are very adaptable and quick learner compared to aged as they can't easily understand these technology. To solve this, people with good experince and numbers in age should equip themselve wth modrn skill, so they stay on job without their replacement by AI automation.

In conclusion, people over the age of 50 might not get good jobs due to todays jobs demand young person who is quick learner and more skillful than traditional jobs peoples.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both causes and possible measures, and your position is generally understandable: employers may prefer younger recruits, while older workers may need to update their technology skills. However, the response only partially develops the task. The suggestion that older applicants should prove their value to HR is relevant but gives no practical method or example; likewise, retraining is mentioned without explaining who should provide it or how it would help. Some claims, such as younger people being more adaptable than older people, are broad and unsupported. The conclusion repeats the preference for younger, quicker learners but does not summarise the proposed solutions. The response is also 11 words below the required minimum, limiting the space available to develop its ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs that each present a cause and a measure, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “The first reason,” “The another reason,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, the discussion of firms’ training costs, older workers’ remaining years, and incentives moves between points without clearly showing how they connect. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “this” in “this would help both employees” are not fully clear. To improve, organise each body paragraph around one cause, explain its effect, and then introduce a specific solution with a clear link to that cause.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “long term strategy,” “modern technology,” “AI automation,” and “replacement,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response harder to understand, such as “orgnazation,” “enthuasium,” “converntional,” and “familar.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, including “numbers in age” and “skillset for modern AI era.” Aim to use accurate, natural collocations for employment and training, and proofread spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “age discrimination,” “digital skills,” and “professional development” would help express the ideas clearly without relying on repeated general words like “people” and “jobs.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “because they want those having energy” and a relative clause in “people who born in 20th century.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence structure and verb forms occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “businesses wants,” “Many firms spending million,” “technology has change,” and “people who born,” where agreement or verb forms are incorrect. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “It's due to orgnazation now prefers…” and the comma splice in “Many firms spending million for training of new employees, it's their long term strategy.” Practise accurate clause construction and check subject–verb agreement and tense in each sentence.
