Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by identifying causes and solutions, but the development is inconsistent. While you mention technology and discrimination as causes, the explanation is often fragmented and lacks logical depth. The solutions suggested, such as government initiatives, are mentioned but not clearly explained or linked to the problem. The argument is frequently obscured by unclear phrasing, making it difficult for the reader to follow your position. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on one clear idea, supported by a specific example or explanation that directly answers the 'how' or 'why' of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. The progression of ideas is often disjointed, and the use of cohesive devices is mechanical or inaccurate (e.g., 'On the other hand' is used incorrectly to introduce points that do not contrast). Referencing is frequently unclear, and the transition between sentences is often abrupt. To improve, focus on using linking words like 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' or 'in contrast' to show the relationship between your ideas, and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, which restricts your ability to convey complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'well perform to the every step of life' and 'older people are higher salary package.' These errors sometimes make the meaning unclear. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to use more precise or academic terms. To improve, focus on learning common collocations related to employment and business, and practice using synonyms to avoid repeating the same words throughout the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'these issue arises'), sentence fragments, and incorrect word order. Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to confusion. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with many sentences lacking proper structure. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction—ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb—before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for basic errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency is essential.
