Student answer (Band 5.0)

In some countries, most of the old age people cannot find any job for their basic need and survive in the community and fulfil last day with joyfully.

Good job is the integral part of human life, in some countries ongoing debates on jobs. Knows a days most of the countries making polices on jobs. most governments job only for eligible people and it depend upon age. All the countries offer job young students those are fresh completing their university degree. One example is that governments of my country offer internship of agriculture students and requirement in that under the 27 years old people is eligible for internship, my age above the 27 years and i not eligible for this post. Most of the people spending whole life serving country and at the end they have not any things at the last stage. Old people cannot survive only on they got money from government. One of the biggest problems is that if government offer job after 50 old age peoples. so young student and other people that is eligible for job, these people move to anther country .

According to me, governments should offer small business and small shops to old age people for their survive, if they cannot manage these types of things, they cannot control the problems.

In my experience, most of the old people after finishing the army job they are join private sectors for gourd duty like in banks, private schools and other factories. Most of the people join different company in admin staff and other small jobs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by identifying causes (age-based government policies and competition from younger workers) and suggesting solutions (small business support). However, the development is limited. The ideas are presented in a fragmented manner, and the explanation of why these factors cause the problem is often unclear. For instance, the argument regarding young people moving abroad is not fully explained in relation to the over-50 demographic. The response lacks a clear, consistent position, and the supporting examples are anecdotal and underdeveloped. To improve, you should focus on expanding each point with clear logical reasoning and ensuring all parts of the prompt are addressed with equal depth.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While there are paragraphs, the progression of ideas is disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is minimal and often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the abrupt transition 'According to me' or the repetitive use of 'most of the people'. There is no clear introduction or conclusion, and the relationship between sentences is often difficult to follow. To improve, you should use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects back to the main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'good job', 'old age people', and 'problems'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'fulfil last day with joyfully', 'knows a days', and 'gourd duty' (likely meaning 'guard duty'). These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you need to move beyond basic vocabulary and attempt to use more precise, academic language. Focus on learning collocations related to employment and social policy to express your ideas more naturally and accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('most of the old age people cannot find'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, making them difficult to parse. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the attempts at them are often faulty. For example, 'if government offer job after 50 old age peoples. so young student... these people move' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. You need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex structures.
