Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The essay addresses both parts of the prompt: causes and solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies on generalizations, such as the claim that older people lack energy or motivation. While the position is clear, the arguments could be more nuanced. For instance, the suggestion to reduce working hours is a relevant solution, but the explanation regarding 'freshers' and 'ongoing projects' is slightly underdeveloped and lacks clarity in its connection to the overall argument. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, evidence-based examples rather than relying on broad assumptions about age-related physical capabilities.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In modern societies,' 'The main reason,' 'However,' and 'To conclude,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'The main reason of this cause is that...' and 'As a result, companied give more proirities.' The referencing is generally clear, but the logical progression within paragraphs could be smoother to achieve a more professional academic tone.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are several spelling errors ('comvenient', 'proirities', 'odler', 'once', 'knowlegde', 'increse') and word choice inaccuracies, such as 'convenient jobs' (likely meaning 'suitable' or 'stable') and 'activated' (likely meaning 'energetic' or 'productive'). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors and the reliance on basic vocabulary prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you proofread for common spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow, such as 'most companies are prefer to hire,' 'because of their body may not be capable,' and 'they minds give better performance.' Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While the meaning remains understandable, the frequency of these errors indicates a lack of control over more complex structures. Increasing the accuracy of basic sentence construction and refining the use of articles and prepositions will help improve your score.
