Student answer (Band 5.5)

In modern world, job plays an important role that fulfilled humans needs. Younger and older people in several nation experience issue obtaining a good jobs. Although they are well experienced. there are many causes of this problems and several measures that tackled this problem. I will discuss my view points in upcoming paragraphs.

In my opinion , several reasons may be assigned as the cause of this issue. First of all, many employers is think that people not physically fit to work for many hours, either in front of computer or physically demanding roles like machinery , mining and so on. I agree that older people is week as compare to young people.. Older people can not have proper knowledge about new technology how to work on machines screening and Ai things. For example, The survey conducted by government of UK people how over 50 didn't have good strength to do work easily, so they give pension to that people that fulfilled their needs.

There are some measure that tackled this issues, First and foremost , employer give them a chance and provide medical check up. If they are physically suitable for job then they should give chance them to work. Moreover, government should be give them a digital training about the new technology how to working on computer and handle the screening jobs. For example, In many nations government provide a digital training to older people that help them to getting a good job.

In summary, I believe that the everyone should get equal chance to getting job that can help them for their life. After all living is a basic human righ that people of all ages should be eligible.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes and measures. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding physical fitness and technological literacy are somewhat stereotypical and lack depth. For instance, the claim that all people over 50 lack knowledge of AI or computers is a broad generalization. The supporting examples, such as the mention of a UK government survey, are vague and not clearly linked to the argument. To improve, you should provide more nuanced explanations and concrete, logical examples that demonstrate a deeper understanding of the complexities of the labor market.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'After all living is a basic human righ' do not function effectively as concluding transitions. There are also issues with referencing; the use of 'that people' and 'that problems' creates confusion. While there is a logical progression from causes to solutions, the flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, which hinders the overall coherence of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'good jobs', 'people', and 'work'. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'fulfilled humans needs' (human needs) and 'screening jobs' (likely referring to digital or computer-based tasks). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more topic-specific collocations, such as 'age discrimination', 'technological proficiency', or 'professional development', and avoid repeating the same words throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many employers is think', 'older people is week'), article usage, and pluralization. Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also problematic, with misplaced commas and missing periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors across basic structures prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on foundational grammar, particularly verb forms and sentence boundaries, is essential.
