Student answer (Band 5.0)
In a few countries , it is becoming a huge issue for the older age people above the 50 years to get handsome job with there personal experience
There are various issues behind this situation , first and biggest issue is their age . Basically age play important role in any field , it has many advocates and critics .According to my point of view age creates a gap between the individuals ,older age people have many defects such as ;weakness , mental health and short memory , it creates a resistance between generations and mostly people do not like them. Additionally older age people have better experience and skill to handle problems and solve them , but reason is that they do not follow trends and current fashion not develop himself to tackle situations.
Government should takes notice of this issue and solve it . People of older ages above to 50 years should be separate rules because they are the part of our society and head of their home .Countries should make regulations for older people and adjust the quota for older citizens and give opportunities .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 189 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you identify causes such as age-related stereotypes and a lack of adaptability, these points are under-developed and lack specific examples or evidence. The proposed solutions are also quite vague, suggesting 'regulations' and 'quotas' without explaining how these would function in a real-world context. To improve, you must expand your arguments with detailed explanations and concrete examples to fully address all parts of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into three short paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is limited due to the brevity of the text. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'Additionally' and 'first and biggest issue', but the flow between sentences is often mechanical. The paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the depth required for a higher score. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details that logically connect to the main argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'older age people' are used repeatedly, and there are issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'handsome job' (which is not standard English) and 'not develop himself'. You rely on basic vocabulary, which restricts your ability to convey complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise terminology related to employment and aging, and work on natural collocations. For example, instead of 'handsome job', use 'lucrative position' or 'gainful employment'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('age play important role'), article usage ('the older age people'), and sentence structure ('Government should takes notice'). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain errors, such as the run-on structure in the first paragraph. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb forms and the appropriate use of articles, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
