Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, in some people are facing consequencies finding jobs after 50 even though they have better job profile and relevant experience and it happens in some parts of the country.

People are suffering getting jobs after the age 50 becuase the main reason is only their age instead of having better job profile with relevant work experience. Although, they have two options either they can continue their jobs in same company till retire or they can find jobs in other firm with low salary.

As we talk about India, the people of this country facing problems to getting job after the age of 50 becuase of their age. Recently, my father planned to change company for better salary even though he have better job profile and 28 years of work experience but unfotunately he got rejected because of his age. As a result, company wants experience but they want age between 40-45.

On the other hand, from my point of view prople who cross the age of 50 shoou;d work on same firm othen than taking risk of finding new jobs. Morever, they can also try to find the job as consultant as my father has been suggested by their seniors. In contrast, people should not think to switch jobs at particular because it will be more risky.

In conclusion, people who willing to switch the job at 50 may change their own risk. Apart from this company should also take some necessary measures to resolve this issues in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying causes such as age bias and offering measures like working as a consultant or staying in the same company. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive, relying heavily on a single personal anecdote about the writer's father. While a clear position is maintained throughout, the arguments lack breadth and are under-developed, placing the response firmly in Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the overall progression of ideas is hindered by repetitive phrasing and weak logical links. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or awkward, such as 'As we talk about India' and 'In contrast'. Paragraphing is attempted, but transitions between ideas lack smoothness, and referencing is occasionally confusing, leading to a Band 5.0 score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent word-choice and spelling errors ('consequencies', 'unfotunately', 'prople', 'shoou;d'). While the student makes an effort to use task-relevant terms like 'work experience' and 'consultant', the lexical range is narrow and inadequate for discussing complex socio-economic issues, resulting in a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There is a very limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences frequently contain grammatical errors. Examples include 'People are suffering getting jobs' and 'companies wants experience but they want age between 40-45'. Frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, and punctuation cause noticeable strain and difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
