Student answer (Band 5.0)
In few countries, it may be difficult for people over the age of 50 to get good jobs, despite their experience. The main cause of this is the less mobility strategy and more absentism because of their health condition. The viable solutions are give them job according to their capability and enough leaves are given to them.
A people has less mobility issue from one place to another is a major reason not to get job. This is because it is normal that an individual has to move from one department to another to complete their work on time because of taking part n various meetings or working on some project. If people do not have proper mobility strategy than they find difficulity to do job. For example, it is normally noticed that their were very few people age over 50 is visible in any company because of not abbe to perforn mobility task easily. Secondly, more absentism is shown in old age workers. This is because in this age they can be diagnose with various health conditions namely arthiritis, hypertension, diabetis mellitus and various others.
A reasonable solution would be for the old age people over 50 is to give them job according to their comfort level. Like, they can be given work in which they sit in a particular place for long time. In addition, give them proper monthly leaves for which, they get relaxation in a month and to much work do not cause any serious effect on their health.
In conclusion, the primary cause behind older people over age 50 get job is the less mobility issues and more health conditions. Furthermore, the possible solution is to give them sufficent leaves to get relaxation in a month and give job according to their comfort level.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying causes such as mobility issues and absenteeism due to health conditions, and offering solutions like tailored work roles and adequate leaves. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the discussion on mobility remains underdeveloped and relies on circular reasoning rather than robust examples. The writer maintains a clear position throughout, but the ideas lack the extension and depth expected for higher band levels. This places the response comfortably in Band 5.5, as it addresses the prompt adequately but with under-developed supporting evidence and generalisations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into four paragraphs with a clear overall structure including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, progression is frequently disrupted by awkward referencing and mechanical cohesive devices. For example, sentences often begin abruptly, such as 'A people has less mobility issue...' and 'A reasonable solution would be for the old age people...', which creates friction in the flow of ideas. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is often faulty due to grammatical inaccuracies and poor substitution, leading to a Band 5.0 level where organisation is present but overall progression lacks smoothness and clarity.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive throughout the essay. The student attempts some less common medical and workplace terms such as 'mobility strategy', 'absentism', 'arthiritis', 'hypertension', and 'diabetis mellitus', but many of these suffer from spelling errors (e.g., 'absentism', 'arthiritis', 'diabetis mellitus') or unnatural collocation. Basic words are repeated frequently, such as 'job', 'people', and 'health'. Because the lexical range is narrow and noticeable errors in word choice and spelling cause some difficulty for the reader, this performance meets the criteria for Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex clauses. There are frequent and systematic errors in grammar, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'In few countries', 'A people has less mobility issue', and 'to much work do not cause'. Complex structures are frequently ungrammatical or obscure the intended meaning, for instance, 'the primary cause behind older people over age 50 get job is the less mobility issues'. Due to the high frequency of errors and limited control over sentence structures, a Band 4.5 is most appropriate here.
