In some countries, it can be very difficult for people over the age of 50 to get good jobs, despite their experience.
What do you think are the causes of this problem, and what measures could be taken to solve it?
You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this widely evolving world, the problem regarding job is increasing day by day. The most individuals which are keep on effecting by this issue are the people having more age than 50. Infact, they are the senior members of our society having much more experience than under 50.
When the person comes to age of 50 although, he gains to much experience but suffers alot physically and mentally. He comes in the age where, he should be focusing on his health rather than working for companies to make his both hand meet. The companies are looking for the individuals which are young, they can work better and able to manage stress. The 50+ aged people are less energetic than young ones and most are suffering from various health problems.
Beside that, the government should be giving each 50+ member of society funds for their health and a suitable job. These individuals should be given easy to handle job which will be less stressing and able to manage. Nowadays, the many governments and companies are giving facilities to their aged employ so they can be focused and remain in one company for example, the majority population in japan are aged, so the authorities are giving benifits so they keep and steady at one job. Furthermore, the older members of society should be given jobs like only monitering, managers, where they are having less pressure and able to give anything regarding their experience.
In conclusion, senior persons of our society are very respectable and honored so, they should be given enough facilities by the authorities where they have done work such as pensions or a job which is less stressable and easy to manage. I think these solutions will be enough to solve problem regarding unemployment of aged pupils.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying causes such as physical decline and employer preferences for younger workers, and suggesting measures like government funds, workplace accommodations, and suitable job roles. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the discussion on health issues lacks specific elaboration or concrete examples beyond general statements. The position is stated, but the arguments remain somewhat superficial rather than fully extended. While all parts are addressed, the overall treatment corresponds to Band 6 due to under-developed ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with basic paragraphing that separates the introduction, causes, measures, and conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. Words like 'Beside that' and 'Infact' are used inappropriately as cohesive devices, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun shifts ('When the person comes... he...'). Paragraphs lack smooth internal progression, making the transitions between sentences feel abrupt at times. Consequently, the organization reflects the Band 5 descriptor, where some basic structure exists but cohesive devices are inadequate and repetitive.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and adequate only for basic communication. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'authorities', 'unemployment', and 'facilities', but these are accompanied by frequent word choice and collocation errors (e.g., 'job is increasing day by day', 'more age than 50', 'make his both hand meet', 'less stressable'). Spelling and morphological errors are also present ('benifits', 'employ', 'monitering'). These errors occasionally impede comprehension, placing the vocabulary firmly in the Band 5 category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty and hindered by persistent grammatical errors. Examples include 'The most individuals which are keep on effecting...', 'He comes in the age where...', and 'the government should be giving each 50+ member of society funds...'. There are frequent errors in verb tense, voice, articles, and prepositions that cause difficulty for the reader and obscure meaning in places. These characteristics align with the Band 5 descriptor.
